Folks,
Is anybody going to this festival? I was thinking of making the trek over for it. I want to see Liam, Arctic Monkeys and Interpol.
If you've been in the past, any positive or negative reviews of the festival? (in terms of where it's located, atmosphere etc..) Also any good hotels you could recommend that are close?

This is only its second year. It's more a big open air gig in a city centre park than a proper festival in a U.K. sense (there's no camping). Remember it runs on individual days over several weekends - you don't buy one ticket and just turn up
Pros:
- it could not be easier to get to (10 mins walk to two major rail stations) - there are literally dozens of hotels within walking distance - the layout is decent, it's fairly easy to find a spot with a view of the main stage - Scottish crowds of this kind are generally good natured, unlike the rich odd balls who frequent TCOTU
Cons:
- I found the sound to be a bit quiet on the main stage - there is a second stage, but it's tiny. You're basically stuck at the main stage all day - the choice of booze for sale was awful. Fingers crossed it improves this year
