This is an obvious answer (by Soapbox standards), but I really do love Mwng by SFA, and yes, I have looked up the translated lyrics. Perhaps more surprisingly, I also do find myself from time to time listening to Hispanic legends The Gypsy Kings

The first dance at my wedding was 'tu' by Juan Luis Guerra. Although that was more down to my wife's decision than mine.
Flipping through my ipod, it seems most of the foreign bands I like (the hives, TSOOL, Bjork (?!) ) sing in English. So...Jacques Brel, I guess?

Both great tracks Kev.
Add Alfomega by Caetano Veloso too, on a similar Tropicalia tip (if you wouldn't mind sticking a vid up of it for me?)

I love that French spoken word bit on noels album, the bit the "French bird with the cape on" sings through the telephone receiver. avant garde indeed! such a pioneer is noel now. who knows where the next hfb album goes from here?

Perhaps more surprisingly, I also do find myself from time to time listening to Hispanic legends The Gypsy Kings bombooooooleyoooooo They did a great song with Lebanese superstar Elissa. I also enjoy the haunting Younes Megri, with this particular song being the most famous song in all of Morocco. Arabic music is great music.
