So I have like two days to decide whether I bother travelling to see the Happy Mondays play early next year. obviously I love the songs, they're timeless but while they're playing in my country theyre not playing in my city- and itll be a mission to get to the gig.
I've watched some recent youtube of them, and its not pretty- Very Karaoke and no one seems to know whats happening onstage. so has anyone seen them on this recent run? is it worth it or should I just put the albums on loud at home with a case of beer?

Personally I'd say don't bother if the travelling is going to be a pain in the arse. If they were coming near you then I'd say definitely go for it.

They are coming to Melbourne and it's a Saturday night. I'm coming out of retirement and getting on it from Friday to Sunday

And I wouldn't say it's a "case of beer" album, more a bag of green and some pills, no?

I say why not. I've not seen the Mondays in years, but I saw Black Grape a couple of years back and it was class. Ryder is funny as fuck. It will be a laugh if nothing else.
