Been listening to Cool Planet quite abit these last few days and I've absolutely fallen in love with All American Boy and Ticket To Hide. Both sang and written by Tobin I believe?

I thought I'd update the daily Pollard for the first time in months with a Tobin Sprout classic.

listened to the keene brothers lp pollard put out in 2006 for the first time this morning. passed me by at the time but it sounded great. possibly my favourite thing pollard has done away from the gbv name.

Good record that, I like the short burst of Evil Vs Evil. Found the record a little patchy but there's some bangers on there. Suppose that can be said for any Pollard release tho NEW ALBUM NEXT MONTH

big day for gbv fans.
finally got alien lanes on vinyl which is sexy as fuck and then the new album mirrored aztec is out too. just gave it my first listen and really liked it. properly my favourite since august by cake. pleased as i wasn't so keen on the last couple.

Damn, found the new one on first listen really underwhelming. The band are sounding too straight up rock for me these days in a sort of mid 70s The Who kinda way. Will see if it grows, yet absolutely nothing stood out as being a real gem - even Sweating the Plague which I wasn't overly keen on had a few bangers on it.

I felt the complete opposite. Haven't really enjoyed the last 2 or 3 so much but felt this new one had loads more bangers and was a bit poppier.
Last couple particularly were a bit too prog influenced for more liking. This is much more like it for me.

One listen and it seemed like their most boring and plodding release in a while.

Had it on in the kitchen this morning and my daughter really likes Please Don't Be Honest. Came running out asking what song it was and was it by, and asked if I could add to her playlist*
*I'm curating a playlist for her of all the songs she'll like over the years then when we're celebrating her 18th birthday, we'll use that playlist for the music.

It's a good job Mahoney doesn't have any kids yet and had the same idea.
Would get to their 18th and the playlist would have 3 songs as he'd lost interest after 2 weeks.
