Sorry if the title got anyone excited. This thread isn't me releasing new music (not right now, anyway) but instead, I wanted to use it as a bit of diary to how things are going. The plan is to post updates and snippets of things to give people a little taster of what's going on and what they can expect. A bit like Liam did in the lead up to him releasing As You Were except I'll do it here rather than on Instagram or Twitter.
Anyway, I finally got to work on the album yesterday. Doesn't inspiration come from the weirdest places? I was sat upstairs playing around with some chords and my daughter came into our room with her little guitar that I got her for Christmas. She's only 4 so of course she can't play but she does like to "jam" with me so while I was noodling about with some chords, she is frantically twanging the nylon strings on her little out of tune guitar. I asked her to sing a song and being the age that she is she started singing Ba Ba Black Sheep. She kept singing and I played the same chords around her singing and adjusted the tempo to fit. She got bored after about a minute and wandered off.
But I ran with the idea.
I kept playing the same chords and started singing Ba Ba Black Sheep myself, only this time with a different melody to fit my chord pattern. Over the course of the day, I put some lyrics together and am now ready to start recording my first proper song in a very long time. it will be called Black Sheep.
A little later today, I'll post a 30 second snippet (music only) as well as the artwork for the first song, so watch this space!

Could you bring a can of petrol And bring some matches too We'll see fire to their corpses You can keep my mothers shoes"

Tuckerman is back! It's been a long time coming my friend. Look forward to hearing what you come up with. Thanks Right now, I'm working on 2 tracks. The aforementioned Black Sheep which I think I can probably have done by the end of this week. The second track is an idea I've had floating around in my head for literally years now but I've never been able to do anything with but I had what I'd definitely consider a breakthrough over the weekend. In terms of the sound, I'm going to be going for the same as The Weekend EP from all this years ago, so you can expect it to be full of reverb.

Hey barns,
This isn't dead. In fact, quite the opposite. I'm working on lyrics daily and taking some time to play around with some musical ideas.
As it is right now, Black Sheep will be part of an EP called The Twisted Tales EP where I'll be taking classic and well-known nursery rhymes and giving them a bit of a twist. As well as Black Sheep, I have lyrics for 2 other tracks. One called The Mysterious Disappearance of Mary's Lamb and another called HUMPTY. The EP will be 5 tracks in total. The idea is to have 4 separate tracks then a final track which will basically be a big story that connects all of the previous 4 tracks.
As for my first LP, I have lots of lyrics for it, and some other ideas floating around.
I can't really but an ETA on it but rest assured, it's being worked on.
Cheers, Tuckerman

Why are all the tracks based on nursery rhymes?

Why are all the tracks based on nursery rhymes? It was just an idea I ran with. I just thought it'd be interesting to put a bit of a dark spin on them. So far, lyrically, HUMPY is my favourite. It's gonna have a spoken word intro which basically tells you everything you know about Humpty Dumpty is a lie and the song tells a story of Humpty Dumpty being taken down to a secret science lab by the King's men where they actually DO put him back together, kind of like the did with Robocop. The King uses Humpty as a lethal weapon against his foes on the battlefield but Humpty starts to feel guilt and remorse. He tells the King that he won't kill for him anymore and the King orders the rest of his men to reprimand Humpty and disarm him. Of course, Humpy is too strong ( he has laser-eyes and gun arm, these are referenced in the lyrics) and he escapes.

Just make sure you ignore every bit of advice given to you by mahoney tucker, I’m counting on you to bring back the glory days of big sweaty 80’s cock rock.

So I've canned the idea of the EP with tracks that will be inspired by nursery rhymes... for now.
BUT, just this morning, I've put the finishing touches to the music of my first new track in a while. Hoping to get some lyrics laid down and perhaps have the track finished by the time I leave on Friday.
