After 3 listens...
- I like it quite a bit. At least as much as I liked Wall of Glass on first contact. - The verses and bridge are stronger than the chorus, but, the chorus is not necessarily bad. - It's quite catchy and infectious. - I wish there was a bit more of the bluesy harmonica peppered throughout, and that it was higher in the mix. - Same for the lead guitar; it seems a little bit low in the mix and I'd like it to be a bit more prominent.
So yeah, I'm a fan. Welcome back, Liam.

I've heard the clip and I'm not too interested on listening to the whole song, which is definitely a bad thing. Imo he sounds quite good but the song seems to plod along like expected, and can't see it changing on the bit I've missed. Although the chorus is a welcome change (sunnier than usual), it's also a bit uneventful.

As I said my mad fer it dial is turned up to 11. I've never punched anyone to Oasis but I'll batter you to the sounds of 'Shockwave'.

I actually think the strong is structured pretty well and does a good job of building to a satisfying finish. Wall of Glass lacked that a bit, I thought. I'd say this is much more of a straight forward rocker whereas Wall of Glass felt a bit more modern. Shockwave is definitely the catchier of the 2 and I honestly think it's a very strong comeback single that will go down a storm with both sets of Liam fans; the old generation from the Oasis days and the younger ones who got on board for As You Were.

It's Liam by numbers and a bit cheesy in parts (especially they HEYs in the chorus), and it lacks the slightly different touch of any of his other post-Oasis comeback singles. But I'm heading out to the premiere of As It Was and I'm madferit, so I'll let him off.

I'm at the Belfast screening of the premiere. Must be about 150 or so at it. I'm amazed Pretty Green went into administration as every cunt is wearing the stuff bar me (and that's only because my jacket's in my bag).

Weasel bit is a bit dodgy and seems way too out of place, the rest of the song is ok? Can’t decide if this is on par with wall of glass or a touch below it

Just watching the live show thing. I'm 99% sure he's got a picture of Leo Sayer on the drum kit haha.

Two new songs so far 'Shockwave'and 'Hey La'. Hes done 'Champagne Supernova' with just a piano and a cello backing him. Timing is a bit off tbh but his voice sounds great on it.

Reckon his monitor mix must have been horrendous as he came in half a beat ahead of every line on Champagne Supernova; either that or he was a total nervous wreck. Either way his voice sounded excellent tonight.
Really enjoyed the film but very glad I didn't shell out the extra £25 to see him play a six song set.

Great tune, digging it. WOG was decent but this has far better production and his voice sounds as pure as the best tunes from the first album (Chinatown and Paper Crown) yet implemented onto a rocker. Oh and some mong on Live Forever forum asked if BRMC will sue them for ripping off Spread Your Love. The irony is I initially heard a bit of Swamp Song with the harmonica.
