I really like it. It's on Amazon Music so had a few spins of a decent version this morning. I'd say it's better than the 2 "heavier" tracks from As You Were (I Get By, You Better Run) I like it to and you're right, its definitely ahead of those two. |

The river is ok but a bit too shockwavey for me (and not as good). Really not into the middle 8s on either tune aswell. Solid enough fare, but not really exciting me much.

Once is mostly pretty gorgeous tbf, although the pool school line and especially how he sings school let's it down a lot for me and the opening line seems to miss out the word 'When'... But the oh I remember how you used to shine bit is lovely, and the outro bit is an unexpected treat

agreed danscouse. although I like the skewing of poowul/skewul, tis very Liam and he sounds like he's having having a bunch of fun singing it. which is why, despite the fact its yet another mid-tempo plodder, i can't seem to resist it at the moment.

Also like the cool/pool/school bit. And I like the weird little interlude before the end. Its a cracking little tune. Better than any of the slow numbers from As You Were and actually perhaps his best ballad to date for me.

Growing on me even more, I believe it could be improved if the breakout was a bit crazier and if his backing vocals were louder on the last chorus, but all and all good tune.
