Have a reputation for being THEE premier counter-culture band, fuck me that sounds fucking awful.
Havent heard a single album, and couldn't even tell you the name of a single song. The only thing I know about them is that they were WAY TOO SCARED to play at altamont in 1969, are they worth checking oot leek?

The few occasions I’ve tried to check them didn’t grab my attention. The geekiness of their fans puts me off too

Their earlier stuff is easier to listen to/digest than the 70s/80s/bootleg stuff. Barring Touch of Grey. I'm not a huge fan (never been really big into any jam bands).
