Roughly.
I keep all the tickets I can and have done for years and went through them recently.
I'm gonna make some framed ticket collages for the wall.
In total i've got roughly 400 paper tickets and reckon there been at least 200 other gigs I don't have tickets for, but the rate has dropped markedly in the last couple of years.
So, i think roughly 600.
I'm sure Kev, Karl and JP and probably others must've been to double that number?

Yes I keep a list. And I’ve employed Kevin who is currently transferring the information into pie charts during his lunch breaks to give me incredible stats on my gig going history.

LOL! I haven't kept my songkick history up at all. I need a short prison sentence I think with a decent internet connection to give me time to update it.

I'm at about 710 at the moment, something like that. I keep a spreadsheet with all my gigs, but the most up to date version is my work system.
I've probably missed a few off as when i started it i was already a few hundred in.

Cut back a fair bit the last couple of years as having kids makes it a bit more difficult, especially the TCOTU trips I got quite fond of.
I have a word document with it all on. Venue, support bands, date and who I went with.

Ha! And I thought I was anal with keeping the tickets. I wish i'd kept the same kind of record.

Also, i must be overestimating the number of gigs i don't have tickets for, as i'm sure my numbers can't be as close to you 3.

estimates somewhere between 300 and 400. the frequency has fallen off incredibly sharply in the last year or so, but hope to rectify this in 2020!

I couldn’t in all honesty pinpoint the exact number. My first gig was April 1998 and I started going semi-regularly from late 2002. By 2003/04 I was probably seeing something like 60 bands a year, including support acts, and festival appearances.
I used to go watch loads of unsigned bands when I was at uni, but that was more of a social thing, as you’d know someone in the band, so not really a proper ticketed affair. And of course I wouldn’t include shows by the legendary Edinburgh beat combo, The Wynd.
But if Krburg / JP are 700-800, I’m going to guess 650-700.

I'm quite jealous tbh, if I don't count festivals I attend less than 10 shows per year.

Generally have to sit through at least three other bands at all of them as well.

I'm at slightly less than 400 distinct shows***, with about 750 individual acts. (I also have a big spreadsheet).
***And only 7% of them were Bob Dylan!

Geeky gig stats were the reason I loved songkick when it first started. You could look and see how many times you'd seen different bands, how many times I'd been to each venue and all sorts. Then they removed it all and turned it into a glorified ticket selling site so I let my account rot and die.
How much will you charge to turn my word document into a lovely spreadsheet where I can easily access all the above information kev?
