I didn't receive any PM, but I only want it if it's actually good.

I thought the new esp was pretty good actually. Kinda what I expected, not as good as their first two albums but on par with or maybe slightly better than the ones they released since.

The Archer by Alexandra Savior sounding pretty nice on first listen. Somewhere between Lana Del Rey & Anna Calvi. It's all very atmospheric and dreamy. Sort of cinematic, too.

If you have 28:47 to spare, checkout Lennox by Jungle Breed. Been listening to it quite a bit since last Wednesday or Thursday. If I had to describe, I'd say it's a bit like if Parquet Courts did something with Courtney Barnett? I mean obviously, perhaps the quality isn't quite at that level but it's what it reminds me of.

Stumbling across some really good records this year. Been obsessed with Craven Faults - Deipkier . I guess it's electronic music? Lots of pulsating synths and bass. It's sort of repetitive but in a very hypnotic sort of way. Some of the tracks feel like they could score an 80s horror.
Next is Marcus King - El Dorado. It has a very laidback, sort of country/soul sort of feel. Nothing groundbreaking in that we've all heard this stuff done before but it's done really well here and I've been really enjoying it the last few days.

Quiet month, anyone found anything worth hearing?
Black Lips is good throwaway early 70s Stones sounding fun. Enjoyed it more than their past couple of records.

Wolf Parade - Thin Mind came out last Friday. I like what I hear better than the 2017 Cry,Cry Cry.

yeah slow start to the year.
several albums i've enjoyed a fair bit but would be disappointed if they made my end of year top 40. best of the bunch so far has probably been and you will know us by the trail of dead (indie rock shit), jeff parker (jazzy shit) and aoife nessa frances (folky shit).

Just getting round to Black Lips now, and yeah, big 70s Stones vibes throughout. Pretty fun record, though.

Gonna post my end of year list now as it appears nobody is going to release any music in 2020.
01: Electric Soft Parade 02: Black Lips
Still I've been having a great time listening to older music this past 5-6 weeks. I've just discovered Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians & it's a bloody masterpiece. This year I'm going to try and cut back a little of how much new music I consume. I Feel sometimes my desperate need to consume new sounds has me listening to stuff I know probably isn't going to be anything special, yet intrigue gets the better of me. Hopefully I can find a happy medium.

This is reet nice: It's anew band including Ian Mackaye and Joe Lally of Fugazi, some of those chanty vocals sound like something off a Terry record

Just got round to the new Drive By Truckers and really enjoyed it. Big E Street Band vibes and some tunes remind me a bit of Jesse Malin (I mean that as a compliment in case anyway was wondering).
