Gee, Noel looks terrible in that Rockfield video. The only new info (to me) was that the snippet of Wonderwall at the start of Hello isn't taken from the proper track, it was recorded outside, with bird noises (?) audible. ~40 is generous. 25 maybe really great songs, tops. oh god, we're gonna start a list aren't we? Listening to it now for the first time, beginning to end, in a long time. First time I heard it in it's entirety was on holiday in Turkey after I bought it on cassette from some Turkish entertainment store. Listening now takes me back to being sat around the pool, slurping Callipos, drinking Fanta and trying not to get half a lob on over all the women strutting round in bikinis, or, if it was good day, topless.

This whole WTSMG 25 thing could have been far better if the actual BAND was involved. Dwayne almost comes across as embarassed these days with anything Oasis related. The band all seem to talk and are proud of that period apart from that cunt. I'd even seen Alan White mention on his Insta that he speaks to the elusive Guigsy regularly. What a guy. Plus the spirit of Bonehead is pure Oasis.
Hello is the perfect opener - what a statement of intent. Whilst Nooel's songwriting had peaked, it's still Liam's voice that elevates the majority of songs to levels above. Imagine being in a band in the 90s and having to compete with Liam as a singer, no one gets close. I can only imagine the fume.
