Thoughts? Recommendations? What do you like, not like, etc?
I've really only spent a decent amount of time with Harrison's All Things Must Pass and a couple of Macca's later albums. Until this weekend, other than the Lennon Legend compilation, I'd only really dipped in and out of certain Lennon tracks but I've been playing Plastic Ono Band, Mind Games & Imagine quite a bit over the weekend.
What would you guys say is essential?

A few years ago I had a big Beatles solo phase. I listened to everything up until Lennon's death & compiled six compilations of fake Beatles records which I love to come back to every once in a while.
The first two McCartney records are great, plus half of Band on the Run. Apart from that I didn't care for any other of his records solo or Wings (remember, I've not bothered after 1980) minus a few songs. It feels strange how outside of those records how few other songs I cared for.
Harrison, all things must Pass has a ton of great material, I don't love it as a whole though. Living in the Material world is pretty strong too. Plenty of good songs spread out on the other releases.
I've a soft spot for Ringo's self titled record. The two that follow it have a few good tunes on too.
Lennon's stuff is my favourite by a country mile though. Mind Games I think is hugely underrated, brilliant start to finish. Plastic Ono Band is obviously very good, though I'm not as hot on it as most & then Imagine is a pretty much perfect record. Walls & Bridges, Some Time in NYC & Double Fantasy vary in quality but all contain great tunes. Stay clear of the 3 late 60's experimental records with Yoko if you're after tunes.

I'm Beatles obsessed at the minute thanks to the Macca Glasto set.
Decided to deep dive into the world of solo Beatle work beyond the obvious and I'm happy to say I'm liking lots of what I'm hearing.
I'm now fully converted to Wings. What a band.

Did you miss "god" off those lists mahoney? It's the best tune. Also luck of the Irish is great too.

Did you miss "god" off those lists mahoney? It's the best tune. Also luck of the Irish is great too. Aye it’s a tune, I remember having to leave good ones off due to it being too Lennon heavy. Pretty fun to make your own comps out of it all Though my current obsession is post forever changes Love/Arthur Lee. Revisiting those records I’m realising how under-appreciated they are. Had he destroyed the Love name and put it under another banner like Humble Pie or Wings I think those records would be held in higher regard.
