On soundcloud under black hearts of love. I don't know if the link will work, crap at that stuff, but easy enough to search if you've got soundcloud.... Check out Black Hearts Of Love on #SoundCloud soundcloud.app.goo.gl/C8TrOnly rough demos, both done in a 5 hr session. Both went a bit "James bondy" which wasn't really how I heard them in my head, but I like them. I wrote them and do the guitars and piano, my mate Richie sings. He sounds amazing on the first one, the second he sounds a bit scouse. Anyway, if you can have a listen then I'd be made up. Edit - its "put it all on me" he sounds too scouse on |

Hey Dan, meant to give this a listen yesterday then forgot about it! Not sure who is James Bondy but these tunes do sound fine, could see them forming part of Liam's recent albums. I'd say I prefer your mate on 'Put it all on me' tbh. Instrumentation sounds great, well done.

I don't get a Bond vibe tbh but they're good tracks for sure. Instrumentation sounds confident and assured, and you're mate has a cracking voice even if the scouseness can be a bit jarring.

Well that's good. Yeah thanks tucker. I think he sounds better on nail me to your crosses, but on the second one it's goes a bit "accenty" which hopefully we'll iron out in future. As I say was a couple of quick numbers just to see what we could do in a studio. More to come soon |

I actually think we overdid "put it all on me" anyway. I wrote it and sent it to him and he recorded a version back with him singing on it, just dead slow and moody....like "something I the way" or "Billy daveys daughter" and I said then "that's it...thats how we'll record it" but we got seduced into putting drums, bass, more guitar etc on it in the studio

My old band from 2003 - me, rich and 2 other lads - are reforming for a practise Sunday for the first time since then. We're not exactly the stone roses musicianship levels so will probably just be a cacophony of noise but should be fun at least. Think we're having midlifes. |

Your mate's voice is really good, I like the way his vocals are mixed too, until the 3 minutes mark that is, then it gets too loud and generally weird soundwise.I don't know if it's a doubler or chorus effect but it doesn't seem quite right to me. I hope you guys gonna spice the whole part (2:50-End) up with lots of guitars and stuff, could be massive once it passes demo status!

Think there's 7 on sound cloud? We've got a few more but as it's become a concept album now we're waiting for ones that fit the narrative and / or trying not to go over the same ground. Ideally we want a full album, find bandmatea to play it and then record it properly. But pushing 40 with 2 kids, regular rehearsals are hard to manage!
