This one comes from Ike Turner & The Kings of Rhythm instrumental funk record from 69.. "A Black Man's Soul". This track hit me straight away because it has been sampled on two of my all-time favourite hip hop tunes Snake Eyes by Main Source & Concrete Schoolyard by Jurassic 5.
I love this, it's a foot stomper!
Something I really like in instrumental songs is when they let you almost come up with your own melody and words for it, which this song does brilliantly because I keep singing things in my head when I hear it.
At some point we had a blog, then someone suggested we do a magazine...but we should have really had a radio, or at least a podcast, to play all this great stuff
