Is this not the best fucking gig they did? I’m hard as rock watching this.
Haven’t watched it in about 15 years. Remember recording it off of PPV.

I was buzzing watching it last night. I still hold true to my statement that this was fucking peak Oasis (after Boney/Guisgy/Whitey left) Hard to believe that gig was 20 years ago come October. Does anybody remember what night was on PPV? I remember being on either messageboards/mirc and one of the members was at the gig and I am sure was calling someone else on the board to let us know new songs were being played (THT, HIABP) but that got me thinking. Did anybody have a mobile phone in 2001? Did they use a payphone? Fuck, I just can't remember the full story Was exciting times back then.

Yeah, probably not "their best ever" (that would be sometimes 94-95...1994 US tour perhaps), but definitely one of the greatest shows in Oasis history. That entire "10 Years of Noize and Confusion" micro tour was fucking amazing. The band was in top form and the setlist was fantastic...they played songs they hadn't played in a long while, plus She's Electric (!!), Noel's acoustic set done with the electric guitar, and of course the two songs from HCV which they premiered during those shows and sounded amazing. And yeah, we had mobile phones in 2001 Steve...I had one and I was one of the last people in Europe to get one.

Noel wailing his way through She's Electric in 2001-2 is one of the low points in Oasis history.

Proper version of it here.
A few songs missing but I think some were never broadcast.

I was at this with my bird of 6 months. A brilliant gig with a girl who I thought I was going to be with forever
She dumped me within an hour after the gig haha

It’s an enjoyable set to watch because it was filmed professionally and the band were on form - so many of those early 2000s shows they just look bored.
But Liam’s voice is shot to pieces and the solo Dwayne songs are dogshit.

It's certainly one of my favourite concerts by Oasis and it's a shame that it's never been released on DVD.

I was scrolling through Paramount and to my surprise this gig was available to watch. I had no idea it was released (except for being on PPV in the UK).
What a treat this morning. As I said this was fucking PEAK Oasis - they should have called it quits after.

Another thing I forgot was that they released a video for Little By Little live at Finsbury Park 2002 on the DVD single. Release the full show you cunts.

The steam coming off the crowd as Liam hits the stage was majestic.
Though they got upstaged by the Charlatans at those gigs.

Paul Weller came out for Champagne Supernova, mad neet The worst thing about the idiot that jumped Noel onstage in Toronto in 2008 (aside from it secretly being the beginning of the end of the band) was that weller was on before them and it was clearly setting up for him to join them for champagne supernova. Which they dropped after the attack. Still pissed about that 15 years later. (Although weller playing the eton rifles in his set did sort of ease my pain.) Fakeedit: I was at the show, obvs.

Or Liam’s pathetic “hold me back, boys!” act.
