I don't get Big Thief. I listened to the new record this morning, It's perfectly fine I guess? Though that is pretty much my reaction to any of their material I've heard. I'd never heard a single song from Spoon until this morning. I decided to try their new record, I've no idea if this is a reflection of what they usually sound like, but needless to say it was one of the most offensively gutless pieces of shit I've heard in a very long time & I won't be ever hearing a note from them again. I'm not sure I've ever heard Beach House, will give the new one a go as their headlining green man. I also had never heard a single song by Spoon until about an hour ago. I don't think this album is as offensively bad as you, but nothing on it made me want to research their 30 year back catalogue. |

I guess it would be hard for me at this moment to fall under the tight, full of contention brand of rock Spoon do, so I can see your point tbh. But they are a great band and the new album is quite nice too

Battery is absolute dog shite. Should've got it wired up to the mains instead of being a lazy fat fuck and just using Gorilla tape. Still, glad to see this place has legs even without my iconic threads. Related to this topic, I'm making a big effort on 2022 albums. Last year was a horror show for me in that regard, I have 40 albums documented that I listened to at some point or another. I'm already at 10 for 2022 so I think it's going to be a great year. |

Dropper - Don't Talk To Me is one I'm enjoying a lot this weekend. Don't know much about them. Female singing, sort of slightly quirky indie-rock stuff. Not quirky as in weird and wonky and odd, but yeah, there's something a bit quirky about them. Can't really put my finger on it.

Another hour long playlist. I had a lot of success the past week finding a bunch of new bands I'd not heard of before. There's some absolute bangers on here. Excited for some of these to put out albums/EP's. Also I had no idea Parquet courts had released a new single. It's better than the majority of their last record.

Been scouring Bandcamp for new stuff and came across Weeping Mist. It was the album art that caught my eye :  They've only got 2 tracks with an album due in April but I'm totally digging it. |
