Better Days sounds like a Charlatans song from 1997.
6/10

I’ve heard the song. I honestly think it’s the worst song Liam has ever put his vocals onto. It’s just fucking embarrassing.
The first two he released were OK, did nothing much for me, but this is just offensively shit and I have to question anyone who has anything positive to say about this song.
The tide has turned. I predict Noel to comeback with something similar to his first solo record in terms of quality and regain the #1 Gallagher spot.
Feel sorry for Liam, the committee running his career have really let him down here.

I wouldn’t say it’s the worst thing Liam has ever put his vocals to but as a single it’s terrible. The production is honking and his vocals just sound flat and lifeless. You don’t detect him singing those terrible lyrics with any enthusiasm.

Liam is clearly entering the 90s Rolling Stones (or the 2000s oasis) phase of his career. Put out some half-baked tripe to justify the stadium tours to play the hits. Fair play to him, since no one thought he could do it even 8 years ago, but…this is pretty shit.

Love the new single, MASSIVE summer vibes and it makes me feel all warm inside seeing Bonehead in the video. I know he’s been back in the scene for a while but it’s utterly joyous seeing him. Has Jay Mahler left Liam’s backing band? He had Covid when they played the Albert Hall so it was just Bonehead / Mike on guitars. I'm guessing this vid was filmed around the same time

Dropped in the other day and the first thing I read is people complaining about house building Now forum stalwart Mahoney is predicting the resurrection of Tory boy Gallagher. Turn it in mate.

This place has definitely seen BETTER DAYS. Only Simone's polls are keeping us going right now. Even if there is a resurrection of the doorbell thread, we've stumbled into a new dawn where pillars of this community are now getting behind the poisonous and miserable little Tory gnome. These are dark times indeed.

Hey Tom, I can't control the future, I just know what is going to happen. No need to be angry at poor old Mystic Mahoney. If I had been on Liam's songwriting committee the new record would have been 12 Eyeball Ticklers.

He wanks himself off to nonce singers who've folded themselves into a chair or crawled around a piss covered floor, then has the audacity to not only slag off Liam but tell us Noel's next album is gonna be a return to form. Spend more time getting buff Tommy so you can batter this prick and less time getting the doorbell fixed.

hahaha you called him Noel instead of Dwayne, you still love him! I don't get why you must all be so angry at me, its the committee you should be sending your venom towards. What's happening to Liam is 1000 times worse than what they did to Britney.
Nobody pisses on the floor in Cafe OTO you damn fool, its a civilised place for the hippest experimental minds to hang out, we are not beer guzzling hooligans - though you might get some carrot cake crumbs on your trousers.

Interesting tidbit writers on Better Days include Gustav Weber Verent and Tove Lo and Michael Tighe (who's got a bunch of co-writes from Liam's other albums) They used part of one of her existing songs:
