A founding member of The Jazz Butcher, Pat was signed originally to Glass Records and later to Creation. I first heard of him through his links to Spacemen 3, having played on ‘Recurring’.
A friend of mine then covered a couple of his songs for an EP he released.
He had been doing regular Sunday night gigs on Facebook, but had to cancel this past weekend. He did do a video to say sorry and he hoped to be well enough to play in Bristol tomorrow night but he felt like shit and was suffering from sleep apnea.
It’s just been announced he passed away yesterday evening.
