This is going to be the last one-band poll for the 60s we're going to do, and possibly one of the toughest. You get only two options this time. The Rolling Stones came into the "full album of original material" game relatively late (Aftermath, 1966), being mostly a 45-oriented band for most of the early 60s. The singles were huge, but it was only with 1968's Beggars Banquet that they started a streak of incredibly solid, genre-defining records that lasted until 1972. While I like Aftermath and Between the Buttons, and adore Their Satanic Majesties, it really boils down to these two, doesn't it? Take your pick. Results will only be available after poll closes. Poll closes in 4 days (21 April)

We're trying to determine the best album of the 60s Eds. It's like having a poll for the best football player ever. You put the Maradonas, the Peles, the Ronaldos. You don't put Matt Le Tissier.

This poll should have included aftermath.
I refuse to vote until this correction is made.
Looking forward to future Shenandoah polls with only one option. Diabolical times.

I've gone for Beggars Banquet. Both classics, though the two records that followed are what I consider their masterpieces.

Without hesitation, I voted for Beggars Banquet. Let It Bleed is magnificent but there are some bits I can't suffer. BB is mega from top to bottom.

Not entirely sure why everyone is so upset about not having this or that album as an option. Albums you wouldn't vote anyway. And just to prove this, I did a serch for Rolling Stones album mentioned here before I selected the options. How many times have Aftermath, Between the Buttons or Their Satanic Majesties been mentioned in 12 years this board has been up? In all the "favourite albums lists" you've done in more than a decade? Zero. So, don't be a bunch of snivelling, bitter, balding cunts. If you like it just play along, if you don't, well, just...suck it
