It's probably not too far away. To say it will be here by the end of the year might be a little ambitious but I've already got 10 tracks either done, or very close to being done, and I've got the music for at least another 6 or 7. There's one more track I want to bring to life but all I have is the title and few lyrics.
As a little bit of a teaser, some of the tracks that are done...
So Here We Go (Again) Bullet Holes He Man's Skin It's A Quackscene! A Fun Day On The Helicopter Lola's Boneyard On A Tiny Screen In Front of Me
There's also a cover of a track from 1962, and a rework of a song from one of my previous EPs.
Really looking forward to putting this out and getting feedback from 3 people.

Will be happy to put the official press release out to the Soapy’s loyal Twitter followers nearer the time assuming I remember to log in.

The album has been shared with Bat Cave Records management and should hopefully be dropping soon. A few snippets of info to wet the appetite: - It's 10 tracks long
- All but 3 of the tracks have drums, something that has been largely missing from my previous releases.
- There are 3 tracks that are under two minutes long, all of them very different from one another.
- There is one track that is acoustic and another which contains no guitars whatsoever.
- "Lyrics" for one of the tracks are by my son.
Hopefully the 3 or 4 of you who listen to it will enjoy it and I hope you will find a little bit of time to share some feedback, good or bad.

He Man's Skin, your vocals sound like Mick Head

Was the heavy guitar added in the last week? Sounds like pure anger and frustration aimed at your dad.
Can imagine there is quite a nice version from a month ago before it all went pear shaped.

no no, nothing really changed much at all in terms of the heaviness of any of the guitars.

Did you use an AI generator for that artwork?

Considered it but ended up finding 2 images on Google (the background and the head) and slapped some artistic effects on them in PowerPoint.

Enjoyed the record on first listen! I'd say this is your most "moody" record yet, I think the synths add a lot of atmosphere to these tracks, but there's also a kinda distant sadness in the vocals/delivery. This is your Floating in Space

Thanks Karlos.
Wasn't necessarily going for a moody/atmospheric sound but I see what you mean. I really need to get a better mic so I can do better sounding vocals but next on my list is a bass guitar

Gave it a listen, it feels darker than your previous works and also like it's been mentioned more atmospheric. Just a progression from some bits that appeared on other songs, like focusing on that part of yourself. So not quite stark anxious dark but more in the vein of a relaxed dark vibe if you know what I mean. It floats in a nice way and although some moments did standout, it's probably more of a grower this time.

Thanks for taking the time to listen, barny.
Happy with it being a grower not a shower, hopefully you'll have a couple of more listens and be able to tell me some of your favourite moments.

I agree with Karl about the atmospheric /moody vibe of the album, 8n fact that's what I like the most about it. Also the synths and noisy guitars. My favourite track so far is Bullet Hole, you totally nailed that 80's /The Jesus AMD Mary Chain sound there. I admire how profilic you are!
