Bonehead has to be involved but I don't want Oasis with three guitars. It's not fucking Blue Öyster Cult. I'd be happy with Gem on lead and Bonehead on bass. The idea of Russ from the Zutons singing backing vocals on The Meaning of Soul is an instant turn off.

It should be Gem and Andy. The sound so much better live with them on state and they actually wrote tunes.

I want all the cult heroes to return. Recchi, Coleman, Deep cuts like SuperFurryCaro. If Davey vs Johnny II can't happen then I challenge Johnny to a one round fight under the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts by the Bobby Moore statue outside of Wembley stadium. Not sure if last a round, but I’ll arm wrestle you instead.

Also would love for this to be another album. No you don't. They will maybe put out a half-arsed single kind of like the roses did... I don't think we need another Oasis album. I'd be too afraid that Dave Sardy would pop up again.

There is a 0.0% chance bonehead isn’t involved. Selfishly, I hope Andy isn’t anywhere near this, since he’s kicking ass in ride these days, but the prospects of a 10-nights-at-wembley payday might have him put gardener in the corner for a bit.

I'd be fine if it ends up being Gem & Andy. Even if it wasn't for the classic albums, they were in Oasis for as long as Bonehead & Guigsy. Seeing as Bonehead has been playing with Liam and is pals with both him and Noel it would be lovely to see him involved but I wouldn't be upset if he wasn't.

Dwayne has an expensive divorce to pay for. It’s inevitable Oasis will now reunite to pay for it. Five nights at Wembley? £190 a ticket? The exact same set list as 2009? Liam’s voice turning to shit after one gig? It’s happening. Called it.

I mean, it shouldn't matter who's on bass, it isn't like anyone can hum an Oasis bass line. but still, a fucking Zuton.
Andy seems quite happy with what he's up to these days. Didn't Noel slag him off a little bit a few years ago?
I say have 6 guitarists, bring Aziz in.

Dwayne was always going to have the final say on who was in the band for a reunion. And being the grudge-holding individual he is, there was no way anyone who has crossed him in the past - Alan White, for example - was going to get in the lineup. It was inevitable Sharrock would be on the drums and Gem on guitar.
I’m not arsed about whether Andy Bell is in the lineup or not, but having a random Zuton on bass does feel a bit naff.
I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for Bonehead getting on stage. He’ll be lucky to join them for a token encore track.

No Zuton ffs... It is either Andy or Guigs, and Guigs will be too busy watching cricket with his family. I hope they go with the final line-up, that is where it all ended.... Or maybe Bonehead can join in for a few tunes, he is the Mick Taylor of Oasis...

Well well! I did wonder why some z-list talk show presenter was blathering on about Oasis this morning on the telly - thought I'd woken up in 1996, and only just read the news half hour ago.
Seeing ana post in here made my day also.
In truth I won't bother going, not for that price for a big outdoor gig. My days are done for that sadly. But still got a buzz they've sorted things and will enjoy watching them headline Glasto in my caravan.
Lineup will sadly be the newer guard, but Guigsy and Alan have both resurfaced recently, and reckon both will make an appearance for a tune or two with Bonehead. Never really rated any other lineup but Andy and Gem would at least put some umph into the tunes. Jonathan 'Zuton' Creek on bass would be underwhelming but seems to be good mates with Noel, so feck it.
Bliss to see they are using the old logo, despite the fact it will be the newer lineup. Idle, Meaning Of Soul, LBL, anything post-Giants shouldn't be getting anywhere near the setlist!

...although if they played Eden Project (or a Redruth pub) it'd be rude not to.
Don't bother visiting btw, I finally went recently, and it's tosh. A 'rainforest' without animals, dire for the entrance fee. Pixies playing there in 2014 looks amazing on yewtube, but I wasn't here then.
Hopefully Guigsy has finished his Doctor Who boxset. He was seen out and about recently. Alan rehearsing Oasis tunes must have meant something...

Never minded Little By Little when done live tbh Noel shouldn't be singing anything given the magnitude of it all! Apart from DLBIA. That should be it imo. Giants tunes are completely worthy but can't see them doing anything off it, if too downbeat for the occasion, maybe Go Let It Out but that's a tough one on LG's voice. Would love if they opened with Swamp Song, but cannot go wrong with FITB. The new tune to go with the announcement will be the finished version of Angel Child (source: louisedavies).
