What do we think? I guess we should all celebrate the fact that the Stones are releasing new music, should we not? I mean, they are the main reason we exist. Could anybody actually be bother listening to some of it? I could not. But hey, new music from the Stones, this should be a bigger deal, motherfuckers!!

I'm down for this. Will it be any good? very doubtful. But at this point it's just nice knowing that they still exist. I enjoyed seeing them together for that Fallon interview probably more than I will the album but oh well.

also in that interview Mick says they recorded 23 songs (I think it was 23) so I think there's a good chance there will be a second new LP some point next year. Probably whenever they wind down the 1st leg of an inevitable world tour.
Off topic, but I'm surprised more wasn't made out of the release of Scarlet. What a fucking tune.

ok I didn't know a second song had been released. 7 mins + featuring Stevie Wonder & Lady Gaga I'm going in... this is entertaining. Cheesy, but I'm fine with this. Surprised it isn't the album closer.

Scarlet is actually quite good, yep. And I have to join you both with the feeling that this is just a present we should enjoy, even if it ends up being forgettable.

Heard Sweet Sounds of Heaven now for the first time, ahah whose voice is that on the oh yeah parts, it's comical!! But honestly, it's a good tune, and I'm just grateful that in 2023 you can turn on the radio and hear a new Stones single, and it's not shite, and it sounds remarkably close to 1970s Stones. Looking forward to hearing the LP. God bless them!

Tbf, judging by their reaction to Charlie dying, I could also see mick going on tour with a backing track when Keith bites it.

Absolutely loving the new tune. This feels like it’s gearing up to be an immense celebration record of sorts.
Mick screaming “oh yeah” is my favourite musical moment of 2023.
TRIUMPHANT STONES !

I like more your reaction than the actual song

3 tracks in and this album is the bollocks.
Jagger sounds full of spunk. 5 stars, album of the year.

Few duff tunes in the middle but this is mostly great.
A great effort from the lads.

Stone Roses > Rolling Stones. Ain't no doubt about it. I'm happy to admit I look a right mug here. Squire and Brown could never make anything as good as Hackney Diamonds

Shit,
This albums sounds powerful. I'm going to write to Pitchfork to advise them the should delete the 4.5 review they gave it and please have a second listen.

I can only assume they thought it was 4.5 stars out of 5
