It gets released in two days. Excited? Scared? Indifferent?
I must admit, I'm looking forward to it. Never in a million years I would have imagined I'd hear a new Beatles tune. I don't think it's going to be shite.

All four Beatles are on it, but I have a hard time considering it a Beatles song. But it *does* have the advantage of it not being turned into an ELO song like free as a bird and real love were, so it has a fighting chance.

I love Real Love and moderately enjoy Free as a Bird. So I'm quite excited about this one, not as much for the quality of it (probably nice but not brilliant) but just for the fact we're getting the last Beatles song. I mean, they changed my life, it's mindblowing.

The bit they play on the documentary sounds like a 2023 macca song with John vocals. Hmmm…

It doesn’t suck, but it does sound like a McCartney 2020s song. Not bad, anyway.

For being what it is, a partially-written, embellished cassette demo, it's okay. Sounds like something from Mind Games. It's nowhere near as good as Free as a Bird though. It does not sound like The Beatles at all.

Definitely more Lennon than Macca, like it more as a concept than a song but still glad we got it

I'd rather be listening to Hackney Diamonds.

It's rubbish. George was right. It makes Real Love sound good.
Macca won't release the 27-minute version of Helter Skelter but he'll serve up this AI-infected bollocks instead.

5.5 / 10 for a Beatles song
Which means 100/10 when compared to today’s pop music.
Which means 200/10 when compared to today’s rap music.
Which means 300/10 when compared to today’s artists who kinda rap (DRAKE)
What a time to be alive. NEW STONES AND NEW BEATLES IN 2023
Nearly cried on the way home from work in the car to be honest lads.

I think it's alright.
I would like to hear a non-strings version tbh. I really like Lennon's voice -- not overly sold when Macca starts singing though.

I actually like how they treated macca’s vocals. You aren’t getting a Beatles song without the John/Paul harmonies, but they acknowledge Paul’s age and almost put them in the background so much, you barely notice them.

Yeah I like the Macca vocal too. It's old man Macca coming in and harmonising with John that took the song up a notch for me.
The whole thing is really growing on me. I guess it's still more what it represents and the emotion behind it than the actual song but I'm digging it. Still not as much as Hackney Diamonds though!
