The Hulkster comments "Now I know Squid may look all scrawny and nerdy but let me tell ya, when they get in the ring with these songs they're more devastating than the entire nWo! Their riffs are just too sharp brother, like my orange 24 inch pythons"
"I am a tender, beautiful and loving guy that happens to slap a photographer now and then because they get in my way."
I'll be completely honest, I'm not sure about this Hulk stuff.
I think you'll like the next one I've got line up from a different perspective. Also, what I've got in store for the number one slot should vindicate everything.

AI Alan Partridge comments: "Slowdive have rightly earned a place in the pantheon of great dream pop visionaries with this record. It's lush, it's luscious, but there's an underlying vulnerability there isn't there? Very bracing.
I've actually been a big fan ever since the early 90s. Saw them at the Forum in Norwich, supported by Carter USM. It was all very smokey. Lovely stuff."

Before the serious business of the top 5, a chart showing the make up of the top 35 by release month. What does this tell us? Not a lot other than that Uncut etc. appear to be perfectly justified in releasing their albums of the year list in mid-November.

Fans of The Soapbox Twitter account may have already noticed that The Toads' record label liked the tweet about them finishing in 11th and I imagine hearty congratulations and back slaps are being passed on at this very moment, perhaps even a celebratory shoey by the lads. One band likely to describe such practices as "there must be no joy in doing something like this” is next:

Jagger looks thrilled to be receiving the Eddie Murphy award from Mahoney!
His acceptance speech was as follows:
Thanks ever so, luv. Well blimey, who woulda thought ol' Mick would be up here acceptin' this fancy Soapbox gong? Hackney Diamonds, what a beast of an album if I do say so meself.
You know, when I started writin' these songs back in ol' Hackney, I wasn't thinkin' about no awards or nothin'. I was just bangin' out tunes about street hustlin', football firms, and birdwatching out me flat window. But I'll tell ya, once the Stones got in the studio and started layin' it down, I knew we had somethin' special brewing.
Shout out to Charlie, Keith, Ronnie and the boys for bringin' the ruckus on these tracks. And a big thanks to all the lads and birds back home who inspired these songs. This ones for you, you cheeky bunch of cockneys! Hope you're all chuffed I brought the Soapbox to the East End.
So cheers! Maybe next time I'll try writin' a album about pickin' me nose or summin really highbrow. Keep rockin' you!
Don't know about you, but I've got a tear in the eye. That's that for another year, here's a little song to see us out. If you like it, please sign the change.org petition to make it the new national anthem. If you don't, hopefully Kev & the videos will be back a year from now to do things properly again.
