I've heard it front-to-back a couple of times now. It's not bad, I think it has more than a few strong tunes. Unfortunately I didn't get any "positive" energy from the album - it sounds more like one of those records with a long and painful gestation (like Chinese Democracy) than a fun project between two Manchester icons. I was expecting them to be a bit more open to other sounds and a bit of experimentation - but no, it's just straight Britpop and just that.

Finally got around to listening to this.
Raise your hand – it took me a while to place where I thought this was from….it feels like something that one of the ‘other three’ wrote that would fit on the back end of don’t believe the truth, which isn’t in and of itself an insult, since I love that album. Not bad. 6/10 Mars to Liverpool – I really don’t like this song. Reheated second coming b-side or seahorses. Even Liam can’t save this. 4/10 One day at a time – this is…fine? Decent-ish beatley album track, but I don’t remember much of anything about it 10 seconds after I listened to it. 5/10 I’m a wheel – Let’s match some shitty 90s blues to Thom Yorke 90s lyrics. Even worse than that sentence sounds. 2/10 Just another rainbow – “AI, create a song written by John Squire post 1994 and sung by post 2019 Liam Gallagher. Thank you.” 5/10 Love you forever – This was…a song. 4/10 Make it up as you go along – It’s quite sad how unmemorable these songs are, given the talents involved. 4/10 You’re not the only one – I’m so bored 3/10 I’m so bored – You’re not the only one. 5/10 Mother nature’s song – meh. 4/10
I’m genuinely sad that I don’t like this album. Somehow less than the sum of its parts. It just seems so…lifeless. 4/10

I’m genuinely sad that I don’t like this album. Come on. You give the same little review everytime. You love it! It would be annoying but you don’t seem to get any pleasure from music at all so it’s all gravy.

I *want* to like Liam’s solo stuff, I really do. I enjoyed as you were, about half of the 2nd one, but the last two just have left me completely cold.
Fakeedit: the thing I (and many others I imagine) loved about Liam was the heart and soul that was evident in oasis (and god help me, beady eye). Ever since they struck gold with wall of glass and once, it just feels like endless regurgitation of the same formula, with diminishing results. This one, it’s just because squire is shot as a songwriter, and no amount of Liamness can salvage it. I don’t blame this one on Liam, he can only go with what he’s been given.

. Decent enough for lads and fanboys, but a second record sounds a bit like a nightmare. It was only a matter of time before someone made this piss poor argument and it’s no surprise that it’s barny big cunt. 😂😂😂😂😂 Absolutely delighted to see forum members losing their shit over a bang average album It’s what the forum should be all about

Looks like Karl has called in Rhino and Kev for back up and the guys have made an absolute mess of it. Can only assume JP has been kicked out of the Watsapp group and Karl is delivering some severe bollockings this morning.

Allmusic gave the record a whopping four and a half stars! :incredible:
The last record Karl gave a 4.5 stars was the soundtrack to a late-90s Japanese existentialist film about a former Yakuza bonding with a minor.
Gentlemen, draw your own conclusions.

Looks like the lads on this forum will be sleeping pretty well tonight. I’ll be raising a few jars to Liam, John, Debbie, the good guys on the forum and everyone who bought the album.
