Who's Neil Young?

Just some guy who stole his name from the Teenage Fanclub song Neil Jung.

How is the record guys? I've not had a chance to give it a spin yet... hopefully later today I'll be able to whack it on.

I'm really liking it after a couple of listens, Love & War & Angry World are my favourites so far.

Edit, listening again, it sounds even better, fucking good record this, could well his best since the Ragged Glory/Harvest Moon era. I love you neil!

You heard Sleeps With Angels Karl?

Listened to it for the first time recently, its pretty fucking good, quite dark, the title track is fantastic

Yeah it's not a bad record, I've heard all of his studio albums now, I picked up the final ones from the 80's/90's that I didn't have about a year ago though there are still maybe 4/5 that I need to spend more time with such as Greendale, Mirrorball & Life.

Ever since I heard Trans I decided that all his other albums were useless.

Anyway, I want to know your thoughts on Le Noise.

btw, I'm still going Grinderman friday if you fancy it, should be easy enough to get a ticket off gumtree.

I haven't heard this yet, tried to download it the other day and it was saying 40 minutes and I didn't have time

is it slow old man music about horses and open fields or does it have electric geetars buzzing ?

It's essentially Neil's voice & his electric guitar, no other instruments, with alot of feedback & overdubs on certain tracks. Lyrically it's pretty much the same as any other Neil Young record.
