is it rose tinted spectacles looking back on the past or did it used to be a lot better? I'm sure (well not sure really) that it used to have a bit more than just whoever has an album out that week on. really who gives a fuck about brandon flowers even slightly?
also whats the difference between grinderman and the bad seeds?

also: FUCK OFF BRANDON FLOWERS.
I remember reading in the nme that he was proud that he didnt do drugs or groupies, but I met him once in a poncey bar in liverpool with visible bits of coke in his nose off his face trying to get the girl (who's a journalist and asking if she could get an interview the next day) I was in there with to come back to his hotel room right there and then screaming "WE COULD DO IT NOW" cunt.

at least england has a show like that. our music based networks for the most part consist of about seven lady gaga takeover days a month or marathons about teen moms

theres no point having a show like that if its shit though. lady gaga isnt any worse than brandon flowers. in fact strike that shes at least 400 times better.

You occasionally get a good program, there was a real good one earlier in the year, can't for the life of me remember who was on it though but agreed, it's shit now. It's pretty much TOTP's in that whoever has an album in the top 20 or has a record company putting enough cash into them that they will get in the top 20 will play on there.
Shame Nigel Goodrich's basement show only lasted one series, that seemed like a good formula for a good live music show.
Dare I say bring back the old grey whistle test & stick it on bbc4 late at night, misty's big adventure to open the show.

amazing. i hope i get a chance to see them live.
they were the biggest band on edinburgh's cult indie label SL for years. only to be replaced by the even better Thomas Traux.

theres no point having a show like that if its shit though. lady gaga isnt any worse than brandon flowers. in fact strike that shes at least 400 times better. but when it happens for 24 hours at a time once or twice a week its total shit. they just did it with linkin park. its like fuck man this is shit. elvis costello's show is usually pretty good. they used to air jools reruns like six months later at 3 am here. hit and miss but having one decent act makes it alright versus fucking taio cruz talking about putting his hands up in the air sometimes. makes me want to punch myself where my cunt would be if i were a lady

To be fair, they've always just generally had people on who were promoting albums, ever since I was a kid, its what they've always done, we probably just look back and only remember the great performances, I still remember At The Drive In doing One Armed Scissor and they were smacked out of their skulls and they finished and it panned round to a waiting and bemused Robbie Williams or it cut to Robbie or something..
haha, just found the clip, sadly it cuts away before the pan..

also whats the difference between grinderman and the bad seeds? they're the bad seeds minus the guitarist and the second drummer, instead Cave plays guitar, sounding much dirtier and rawer than the bad seeds.
