Thats really nice Seb, how did you record it?
Are they all live instruments? The Cello part sounds lovely, very nice.

nah krburg they'r not ALL live.and i'd rather not tell which instrument is live and which isn't.right now i`m just fucking glad that you as a musician couldn`t tell instantly! So did anybody have the same problem as "grotesque"?I'm not aiming for "sounding all professional" but for "not annoying the shit out of whoever listens"

haha, it doesn't matter either way, it sounds really good and adds to the song, it was definitely the hook for me, i'm not having any sound issues though, all good this end.
But did you record this in a studio or is it a home project type thing?

just a home thing,i've never been in a studio.the stuff you once posted made me think about doing it though, since it sounded amazing and just like a completely professional record.but i don't wanna give anything out of my hands so i did everything myself with the help of some lovely musicians.i must admit i could use some help with audio engineering tho, obviously

Seriously loving this, can't stop listening to it, think this may be my favourite forum member song!
It sounds great for a home project though Seb, if you're gonna record an album of material you should do it the same way, the production and mixing is great.
Any chance of an MP3 turtle?

i THINK you can download it in 320 kb directly from the soundcloud (if it doesnt work, give me a call)i have to admit i love the appreciation this gets by a fellow musician and a few people else.

Sebasco, that's very very good! From a songwriter point of view I can't decipher that much the structure but it builds up very nicely and I don't think there's a single dead moment in the song. It feels very "european" for some reason, I don't know if it makes any sense to you, but the melody sounds very refreshing to the ear and the drums give it that "cavalcade" continuous flow. It's a winner.

Yes, there are strange variations in the general levels. The worst ones can actually be seen on the wave form.
Other than that, it's a brilliant song, very elegantly done. There's a breathy quality to it that I wish I could achieve.
Can you tell me where you found that sound of bells?

they are from eastwests "colossus" sampler, aren't they awesome?
i wish i could solve that levels problem, but i'm afraid the mix is too fucked up/curvy for that.the master limiter alone probably won't do the job
those are some interesting thoughts on the track though, some really great and helpful reads
