WHAT? WHY? get involved in the blog, rod. God Help the Girl. That, and he's generally just a pretentious wank. I love his music, but the guy seems to think that he is Scottish indie and that the sun shines out of his fey arse. My cousin's bf (hardly the least pretentious man in the world himself) knows him (and played on the "I'm Waking up to Us"), and saw him about in Glasgow's West End a couple of years back. "Alright John?" Murdoch said, "Why haven't I seen you about the West End recently?". "I've moved to the Southside," John explained, adding "all the cool kids have," with tongue firmly in cheek. Murdoch took this as a personal affront and hasn't spoken to him since Stevie Jackson, on the other hand, is an absolute gentleman.

I know another Scottish pretentious wank indie who decided to forget about a legendary forum for a while, then returned giving lessons of gentleman manners...

That's a bit harsh, Barny. I wouldn't consider myself to be indie.

How very Belle and Sebastian. I see they're doing another promo gig for this record, my mate Phil went to the one last time (he's on The Life Pursuit bonus dvd, briefly) but the fact that Stu Murdoch thinks saying "One thing to note if that there is a rough dress code: we're thinking 1971, undergraduate, muted colours, turtle necks, slacks, no crazy patterns and top buttons undone. The usual deal!" kinda irks me, folk should be there to hear the music not to pose like dicks. I'd probably turn up in a Beady Eye t-shirt with 18 cans of Guinness.

When was the last time your street featured on an album Mozz? The Wynd are almost definitely gonna do a homage of that cover. Replace the bird with Rod, and write something like ''right about muff''
