Sleaford Mods @ The Black Box, Belfast
Can now be added to my list. Also thinking it's time to make my debut at the Liverpool Psych Fest, though the line up so far ain't that great, but I'd no doubt unearth a few hidden gems and Spiritualized are confirmed so it's worth £50 already.

Blur tickets are £80 Obviously I can afford it cause I'm a rich cockney but that's just stupid to watch a band in Hyde Park and queue to get a beer all day.

I'm so done with big gigs now. £80 is ridiculous. £10 travel, £10 on food, 8 beers at £5 each = £140 for a day out to see a band 100 miles back with shit sound surrounded by a bunch of dicks that only want to hear tender & song 2.

supports for blur are poo too.
last time i saw them at hyde park it was cheaper than that and they had new order and the specials supporting who i'd normally have to fork out decent money to see on their own.

I'll go to The Strokes night if there are any of those offers going, but plan to make a day of it for Blur.
Any TCOTU types going to Courtney Barnett? Fake edit: Just saw titchjuicy is going on the Thursday, but it's sold out.

I would go to The Strokes if it wasn't at Hyde Park. It really does sound like the worst live venue of all time.

anyone interested in the hyde park gigs but put off by the price, they're now doing an offer for 2 gigs for 99quid.
im gonna do the strokes/beck day and the who/weller/marr/rifles happy to pay 50quid a day as opposed to 80odd they were asking before.

they're doing refunds for those that have already purchased too, so you can take advantage of the offer.
Considering i've spunked £160 on two blur tickets, it seems churlish not to take the future islands/beck/strokes day for an extra £15 each.

They will get more desperate to be honest, lads. I think a lot of lads have been put off by the shite sound (although it was admittedly fine for Libertines), queues, rubbish support stages and just overall wankness.
I see The Strokes there for free about 10 years ago.

tbh i went to two of the hyde park things last year and thought they were both alright in terms of sound and stuff as far as big outdoor gigs go. never queued that long for beer or food either.
blur at hyde park in 2012 was a nightmare though as the crowd was way too big and there wernt enough bars. the british summer time setup is ok by me though.

There's a cracking offer on wireless festivals 10th anniversary gig starting at 6pm for any hip hop fans who might be interested. They're dropping prices to 2005 prices (35 quid) and having 100 available at each years price until they get back up to the current price. Drake is headlining but the undercard is like a who's who of hip hop - public enemy, De la soul, raekwon, ghostface, Talib kweli, mos def etc. Well worth 35 notes

PE can be good live, and De La Soul are always good live. Never seen any of the Wu Tang lot, but Mos Def and Talib Kweli are shit live.
Are there any offers for the Kendrick day? How come he's only second on the bill- who the fuck are Avicii (sp?)? I've never heard of them.

Nothing for Kendrick so must be selling ok. Surprisingly really given it clashes with the line-up of the summer at Clapham Common.
