Off to Sound City in Liverpool next week, only really arsed about The Cribs, Flaming Lips and Beach Skulls and perhaps Swans from the lineup. Can anyone spot any other bands on this lineup that'll be worth seeing? Attachments:

Try Jane Weaver, Iceage, Bad Meds, Barberos. For a laugh check out Seawitches (the missus used to drum for them and they have the world's worst singer)
I might be there on the Friday to watch Swans but given it's dock location I'll decide when I've seen the weather forecast.

Cheers for the recomendations, yeah will have to check out the Thurston Moore Band.
What's the Vaccines second album like Barn? Their first one was a really fun album that I enjoyed but never really felt a massive connection with.

Their first one was a really fun album that I enjoyed but never really felt a massive connection with. They're embracing pop with no shame lately. Second album was alright and then released a magnificent ep that went completely under the radar. I think they're a pretty fun band, very enjoyable in a festival if there's not a better option around.

Are you staying in Liverpool, the festival is a bit out of the way. Yeah it's a weekend away in the pool (no-one calls it that right?) for me. Bought an early bird ticket ages ago thinking it was going to be the same shit as the last few years, was gutted when I saw that they were moving out of all the city centre venues into a festival 'site'. Was even more gutted when I realised that the site is not a walkable distance from the city centre. Fucking sell outs. Look's like my uber account is going to take a pounding, Liverpool has uber right?

Look's like my uber account is going to take a pounding, Liverpool has uber right? no uber yet, private cabs are so cheap in Liverpool I think they'll struggle. also festival miles away from any cabs. best bet is to sort yourself some apps for the Bootle cab companies Delta www.deltataxis.net/ or SRC www.srctaxis.co.uk/ strongly advise using app and not phoning. just enter your pick up address as something like 35 Regent Road (the address of Terrys Timber across the road) both those companies are insanely cheap but I can't stress enough use the apps don't phone them.

June 11th Black Mountain, Paris La Maroquinerie
June 13th British Sea Power, TCOTU The Roundhouse
June 15th Blur, Paris Le Zenith
I don't have much to do on Friday and Sunday in TCOTU. Maybe there's an interesting gig I can attend.

Went to see Blur in Blackpool on Wednesday. Absolutely brilliant gig. They had to go off after the crowd broke the barrier during There's No Other Way. Look at that setlist man, was absolutely loving it that they played Stereotypes.
