Asian Dub Foundation playing the soundtrack to 'La Haine' at the Belfast Film Festival. Nice. I can't remember what the soundtrack sounds like but the films great. Not seen it for years, I downloaded it & loved it, bought the DVD soon after but the subtitles were in this light piss-yellow colour and I could barely see them against the white parts on the film.

Got a free ticket to see Kendrick Lamar in Glasgow tonight. Looking forward to it. Been spending a bit of time listening to DAMN recently, having pretty much ignored it first time around.
Downside is it's a big outdoor show, meaning the sound will likely be crap. I also think it's no where near a sell-out. Tickets too expensive? Touring to often?
Be sure to find out more in the Rate the Last Gig You Went To thread tomorrow!

this is the problem. kendrick is one of the foremost artists of our age and i adore pretty much everything he does but i can't be dealing with outdoor hiphop enormo-gigs, especially due to the sound.
have a great time though!

Spiritualized are great live. But if they don't play a 20 min version of Cop Shoot Cop it doesn't count as a real Spiritualized gig.

i keep seeming to miss out on bodega. they clashed with someone else at latitude and theyre playing norwich the day before idles and now im a sensible family man i dont do 2 gigs on the trot anymore for the sanity of mrs jp. missing out on the good the bad and the queen for the same reason as theyre playing norwich the day before sleaford mods.
got tim burgess to add to my list though, hes playing norwich in feb.
