& whilst it does nothing much for me I'd imagine you'd dig Janelle Monáe - The ArchAndroid

there have been many great albums, not too many great indierock albums though so i guess that influences some of your opinions

The new No Age album is really really nice as well Baz

i sort of like the new interpol album too, at least about 60% of it, which was a nice surprise.

New no age has done nothing for me either, pretty tuneless, they need to write a good batch of songs before attempting to release anything else.

man, pretty much every tune they've released have been good

I quite liked the debut, the following EP & the new record do absolutely nothing for me, it all feels way too contrived, like they've tried far too hard to make their sound interesting at the expense of writing good songs which in turn has just resulted in their latest record being rather dull.

id say the new lp has a lot more big tunes than nouns (even though i still like nouns slightly better i think).

A load of bands are like that at the moment, all about having the right sound rather than having any good tunes, it might be cool for hipster wanks but they're getting it wrong

this is actually pretty great when it comes to finnish hiphop

so of what i've listened to so far, i've been digging black angels, maps & atlases, swans and the walkmen albums the most. walkmen especially, that's gonna be a helluva hangover record.

i'm liking ariel pink, women and janelle monae but i think the next few listens will determine how much exactly. sometimes i find the janelle monae record a bit too tasteful.

Nah was really good just a step down in terms of quality from sound of silver. Stick with ariel pink, tooke a while to realise how much I liked it

Hey BABU I downloaded that new Women album and it's pretty fucking fantastic!

and yeah the new LCD Soundsystem is not as good as sound of silver but I don't think he could have topped that one anyways ... but I still like the new LCD record a lot.
