At their best here I reckon, I'm new to the BJM game, i admit but I think this performance is top-notch and heart-breaking and I love it. It's huge, and just as good as when I saw them do it twice earlier this year. Love dies fast, now whenever you're uncertain how this unsure that you love dreams die fast, fast

Great tune. Anton looking surprisingly happy in this performance too. One of the best bands of the past 20 years, undoubtedly.

Erica, you really don't need a playlist for this band. They have a 2CD retrospective/best of called Tepid Peppermint Wonderland which you can google/blogspot search for. It is an ideal introduction to the band and for most people all you will ever need.

When Jokers Attack is just amazing, good version there, and an all round great song.
I concur with Karl, Tepid Peppermint Wonderland is the perfect place to start.

I seen them the other month, actually it was before the summer but they were utter gash. It felt like they'd lost their edge, you didn't get the feeling anything would or could happen at any minute. In saying that the reviews for the rest of the tour were pretty good and apparently they'd had a heavy session in Glasgow the night before so that might have had something to do with it.
Despite that they're in my top 5 favourite bands of all time. I've even warmed to the last record which i'd originally thought was piss poor.

Aye, I've never understood the hate for Who Killed Sgt Pepper? So it's not Take It From The Man! but that was 15 years ago. They were indeed on top form in Glasgow in May (think it was May?) Loads of us went, it's rare that me and my mates all get right into the same band around the same time and even rarer for them to suddenly announce a gig in Glasgow at the same time too.

I remember you saying that Jonny, I saw them on the same tour and thought it was probably the best time I'd seen them! Typical of the jonestown though, you really don't know what you are getting when you see them.
Yeah I warmed to their latest as well, not a big fan but theres some really cool moments on there.

Love myself a bit of 'Felt Tipped Pictures Of UFO's'. Reckon you should cover one of their tunes Karl, i reckon you could do a blinding job on 'Ballad Of Jim Jones'.

I'll have a look into it, I used to play Fucker & Mum & the devil may care (mom & ad don't) to myself cos they were easy when I started playing.

Anything that requires a bit of tambourine let me know, i reckon i could add some Joel Gion-esque shakes to beef up your sound up a bit.
It would basically be me playing your recording though my MacBook and recording the playback through my iPhone and standing quite far away playing the tambourine so that it's not very overbearing, very much in the vain of Yellow Peril recording i think you'll agree.
Karl Mahoney ft. SuperJohnny would be sexual.

Yeah man, i reckon me coming in on backing vox with a bit of tambourine to boot, singing your words and playing to your melodies ... that would be a beautiful thing.
To paraphrase Courtney from The Dandy Warhols "until they write songs i write i'm the letter writer and they're the postman" ... only you're both Karl, never forget that.
