New record. Didnt even know it was coming. Anyway, its lovely. Its in the turtles lair and Splinter is really digging it. Laid back grooves. Nice vox.

Grabbed this from you know where last night and gave it a listen today and despite none of the tracks jumping out at me straight away it's a fantastic record over all.
A consistently brilliant band that have never got the recognition that they deserve. They're an outstanding live band as well. Hopefully they tour this album in Ireland because it's been ages since I've seen them. Glastonbury 2007 in the Jazz World was probably the last time I caught them.

Was really hoping it was a grower, and certainly has a few nice songs, but still hasn't clicked with me and find it mostly dull. Where's the fun?  |

It's completely dull, they've gone all acoustic/hippie bullshit. Very disappointing.

Definitely the most disappointing record of 2010.
The single was the only song that resembled the old Bees sound and even that sounded like a poor Zutons track, the rest was just so forgettable and dull. Hope they come back from this.

still not into it - i love the single actually, its one of their best tunes.
but as an album it kinda goes nowhere. shame because they really are a good band.
