So I was talking to Kim on Twitter about upcoming gigs and shit and I was complaining that Cornershop tickets are expensive or more than I would ever consider (they're basically $30 after all the fees) so I said that they werent worth that and they were boring when I saw them back in 98. I guess they like to search for themselves, because in my feed I saw this

Being cheeky after that I requested guest list to their NYC gig and they blocked me from following them I also did say something about them being motherfuckers and also mentioned my nuts on their chin, so that may have played into it. Cornershop are the first to ban me on Twitter

it was a fantastic chain of events I must say and I like a lot of their studio work but the truth is they *are* boring live. only chin strokers would think they were better than Oasis live

Saw them supporting Oasis at Finsbury, the only good track they did was sung in Hindu ? Or whatever, it was a Beatles track. Can't remember which one

Norwegian Wood I actually mentioned that to Ben on Twitter because I found that one of the most interesting things they did all night. Brimful of Asha is always good too, but it's like waiting their entire set for 2 songs. They do nothing for me live.

I remember the day of that gig it was raining to fuck (it was January in Seattle lol) and everyone was pissed off when they kept going into these sitar jams and yelling for Oasis. They really were a fucking bore.

I saw them at the Continental Airlines Arena (former home of the NJ Devils I believe) in NJ, also that January. People had the same reaction mostly. Hardly a Prince-like reaction Then I saw them open for Oasis again in '02 before HC came out, in Las Vegas. it was at the Joint in the Hard Rock so a much smaller venue, for which they were better suited, but people still harassed them with Oasis chants

I'm sure they preferred that to the 'fuck off paki's' chants they got at finsbury park by a load of blokes in Millwall shirts.

Now called the Izod Center and still a shithole So it looks like The Soapbox agrees that Cornershop is boring. Play Brimful of Asha and fuck off Paki cunts!

at the Vegas show we had a group of guys near us yelling out Pakis too... classy! edit... depends who you see play there. For Oasis i hated the acoustics, but i went with my sister to see Bon Jovi (yeh, that's right, i said it) for her b-day and it sounded much better. still not my first choice in big venues

Ive seen Devils games and went to Ringling Bros Circus as well as Disney On Ice in that building when I was a child No concerts tho. Never trekked out there when I lived in Hoboken back in 2003.

Even their records are boring. "Judy sucks a lemon for breakfast." Well, at least that'll wake her up!

The opening track 'Who Fingered Rock n Roll' off their last record was fucking banging. The rest of the record wasn't so clever though.

"Lessons Learned from Rocky 1 to Rocky 3" was class aswell, with that mastodon T-Rex like riff. I'm not a fan but I'm re-discovering them and enjoying some of their stuff. Only problem with them is that they should keep the songs under 4 minutes, you definitely get boring if you expand a pop song for a quarter hour.
