I definitely prefer it over the album version, but the Castle Rock Session remains my favorite and IMO the definitive.
But heres the alternate version, out in a few weeks on a new edition of High Violet lol

how much do their tickets cost over there? here it's 43 euros+handling, which is ridiculous, but seeing them in a club setting over here is probably once in a lifetime opportunity

Am I right in saying the version on High Violet was the original demo? This version is how I'd expected it to sound after hearing the live performance on some tv show. Much better.

Its a really small theatre though. I think 2500 capacity so it wasnt that expensive and shockingly only the Friday gig sold out. I went to Thurs and Fri - the Fri show was my b-day. Tix were only $20 for each show. This was back in April about 3 days after the album leaked. The next one I went to was a special deal in Brooklyn that was broadcast on Youtube and shit. That was free lol. That being said, I'd say their gig tickets for the normal tour here are a little cheaper than Europe, but it depends on the venue. Ive seen them over 40, but not under 30. Heres some of my pics and vids

I dunno, I havent read any production notes on this record, but Id like to. Its the best produced record this year IMO aside from the original Terrible Love. Have you heard the Castle Rock version?

I hadn't heard that, but shitting hell it's fantastic. I know it's a live session but the clarity of the instruments is mindblowing. Still disappointed that I didn't get tickets for their Glasgow gig next month.

Yea man. They did three tunes on that set. Little Faith also trumps the album version. Anyones Ghost was the other.

Thanks for the heads up Babu!
They were in Sweden this summer for a festival but was hoping for them to come back and they are in March next year. To Cirkus as well. Perfect venue for them. Need to get tickets... seems to be available as well compared to the Finland date.
Take the ferry, shouldn't cost much.

I remember someone posting an incredibly long interview/feature on some website about the process and shit, it was good. Thought it was you tbh. Love the video of the alternative version of Terrible Love but I still can't decide which one I prefer

Yea, that was the NY Times article. I dont remember the content very well, but I dont think it really talked recording details, just about how they've grown.
