i saw him in December 2012, and it was fucking awesome, I just cant believe it was nearly 5 years ago!

I saw him at a leisure centre in Galway in 2009. That was utterly surreal. Walking into a glorified swimming pool complex on the left coast of Ireland, smelling the chlorine, and then the mighty Moz walks out and blasts into This Charming Man.

And now he won't play Canada because we club baby seals. Circle of life.

Mozz interviews used to be great as he would temper his rants with some witty remarks and general humour. The older he gets, the more bitter he comes across.

Saying that, I still rate his last album.

He's turned into such a bitter cunt to the point where it will eventually destroy his legacy. Go back 10 years ago Morrissey was a national treasure, wasn't he voted the #2 living brit? He always seemed too sharp, to witty & too intelligent for the accusations made by the NME about him back in the day. Then go back 5-6 years ago he'd make comments where I'd think "Woah, really?" but because he's Morrissey I'd tell myself that he's just trying to stir things up, or looking at things from a different perspective & has been misinterpreted. These recent few years have been unforgivable. whether he actually means every single piece of vile shit that comes out of his mouth or is deliberately attention seeking/shit stirring is irrelevant, he can get fucked.

Someone put his recent comments into fake Trump tweets & it sums up perfectly what the cunt has become.

He was a cunt even before the 80s tbh

horrible isn't it. i agree with your post above where a few years back you'd almost let him off stuff just because he's morrissey and you assume there's an element of tongue in cheek to it but he really does just seem to have some genuinely nasty views.

can't see myself lining his pockets and paying for his records or to see him live again after this. (though if the smiths ever reform i'll be there like a shot).

European tour cancelled including his two big Manchester shows inevitably because of poor ticket sales.

Wonderful news to know that people no longer willing to support him, nor are prepared to pay £70 to see him.
