It just keeps getting better and better for me. I'm still not sold out 'Anne with an E' but man this is kick ass. I was really worried that it was going to be overproduced but thankfully for me anyways it's not.
Even In Dream is FANTASTICCC.

After two listens I'm really liking it. Anne With An E is a bit different, but it fits in ok with the album I think.

Only had the one listen, its definitely good. Kind of gutted they've turned Peggys keyboard up in the mix, her keyboard parts dominate quite a few of the tunes where I'd rather it was the guitars like on the debut though after the EP I kind of expected that. Good stuff though & I look forward to it growing on me with further listens.

pretty much agree with mahoney.
i had a bad feeling about this album and its certainly not worthy of that as its pretty fucking good. however i cant see myself ever falling in love with it in the way i did the debut.

Sits nicely in the 7/10 category for me
Good record without being anything outstanding. There a few absolutely massive songs but the production is so so for me. A little too shiny (despite the fact I love Say No To Love).
Still have massive excitement over the band though

Have any good quality torrents of this come out?
Actually I found one that's supposedly in 320kbps, we'll see.

Nme's review www.nme.com/reviews/the-pains-of-being-pure-at-heart/11921You might agree or not with it, but I find it quite funny as it's the kind of dismissing Pitchfork usually gives to certain albums with other formulas. What I mean is if you only look at the points they touch, you can't probably deny them. But just like Pitchfork they're missing the whole by concentrating on some limited features of the picture. So yeah, nice to see a different victim for once.

Really good album. Probably not as good as the debut (10/10) but this is a solid 8.5/10. I'm not too bothered by the keyboard parts, either. Don't think they're too high in the mix or anything like that.
