Throw the weather into the bargain and it does Nothing better than an English walk with an enthusiastic dog by your side, alongside a river in autumn. Constant sunshine is utterly, utterly boring. I've lived for 7 years with constant sunshine so i know what i'm talking about.

I've lived for 7 years with constant sunshine so i know what i'm talking about. Replace English with British and I'd almost entirely agree with you. I'm totally comfortable with the British/Scottish climate and the weather wouldn't be a major factor in my decision to permanently relocate. However, for the moment I'm loving the sun here and looking forward to the Summer months whilst everyone back home is freezing their arses off

it's a fucking myth that it's constant sunshine in Oz...maybe up in Queensland area but in melbourne you definitely get the 4 seasons. Winter here was pretty wet (nothing like West of Scotland) but it still pissed it down. a lot. But then again when the summer kicks in you're pretty much guaranteed 4 months odd of nice weather. Sadly the UK doesnt deliver that.
Anyway, fuck all that shite, I'm more interested in the hour/spider ratio that Stewarty is going on about. Does the spider count change when the clocks change?

Man I'd move to Australia in an instant but the banter doesn't outweigh the spiders. honestly I have only seen about 5 spiders since I got here. 3 wee ones, one red back that got smashed with a flip flop and that Huntsman that I had my fight to the death with which I still have nightmares about

Just because you saw 0 spiders doesnt mean they are not there but how can you possibly measure on such a bizarre scale? how can a period of time contain something like an amount of spiders? i'm pretty certain you mean "house" rather than "hour" but the fact that you didn't correct it after my last post is a bit odd. Anyway, i read years ago that on average there's over 1000 species of spider in each house in Britain, i don't think that's accurate though. Does this mean that when a new house is built they drop a large sack of spiders in the loft just to keep the numbers up?

Was a season ticket holder at Easter Road from 2000/2001 until 2007/2008. I saved my school dinner money to buy my first one, think it cost me about 140 quid. Was so chuffed when I got it. We were brilliant that season as well, think we only lost once at home.
Didn't renew it in 08 as I was totally skint at the time and was already planning on moving to Glasgow. I still go as much as possible. I'm considering buying one for next year now that I'm working full time. It gives you the incentive to go. Would prolly set me back a good 400 quid tho i recon, which is steep for the SPL. But walk-up prices are 22 quid for a catgeory B game and 27 for games against the OF and Hearts. That's a lot to pay, especially when the team have been playing as badly as they have been this season.

Also, my season was in the old East terracing at ER. Brilliant atmosphere, always mayhem when it was packed. But it got re-developed this year Why can't they re-introduce modern terraces to UK grounds? Works well in Germany. We went from this: to this:
