So who on here has or has had a season ticket for their team? How much does it cost you? How long have you had it? And if you have previously had one why did you give it up?

Excellent thread here Johnny.
Last season, I purchased my season ticket for the NSC MINNESOTA STARS for $190
It included 13 regular season fixtures plus any exhibition matchs and home US Open Cup (FA Cup equivelant) matchs as well.
I've only had it for one year, well, because we've only existed for one year, there was no waiting list.
RENEWING NEXT SEASON (providing we still exist)

I first got a Linfield season ticket for the 1990/91 campaign and have renewed it every year since. Currently it costs £140 and it allows me enterance to all our home league games. It also gets you 20% off purchases from the Club Shop.
I should be due an offer of membership soon which allows me one vote at the AGM and allows me a say on who is elected onto the board. There is a set amount of members (300) and so you basically have to wait until someone dies and therefore a slot is opened up.
To be eligible for membership you have to have held a season ticket for t least 5 years. I've had mine for 20 so that shows how difficult it is to be become a member.

£275 for my Wigan ST.
Most games apart from last night have been painful but still great value for a Premiership season.

I paid £130 for my FC United season ticket although it actually only cost me £90. The fans can basically name their own price for a season ticket above this price, with anything else being classed as a donation.
£90 for 21 home games, brilliant afternoons out, and an atmosphere I've rarely seen Old Trafford better. Fantastic value.

It's more a case of my infatuation to FC having grown rather than my affection towards Man Utd having dwindled. I've rarely ever been able to afford to go and watch Man Utd week in, week out, so I don't see how I've dumped them, I still and always will love the club just as much as I did. That's not to say the ever increasing greedy wage demands of players like Rio and Rooney don't sadden me and they're unfortunately only ever going to go one way. Plus anyway, there IS something strangely appealing about standing in a freezing cold stadium on a Tuesday night over watching the game from a fake leather seat in a big stadium, even the puddles of piss dribbling up your legs in the toilets offers a bizarrely enjoyable experience.
To sum up, it's MUFCUM.

mine costs 500 a season, would have been 600 this year but if you renewed it before the end of may last season then you got it at the championship price

Good thread For about ten years now, I've been holding a season ticket for Europe's biggest free-standing grandstand - the South stand in Dortmund (which holds about 25,000). I think it's 187€ and basically includes the 17 league matches. Since I'm about 200km away from Dortmund, i don't attend every match. I'd say I miss 3 or 4 games each season, this time it might be less though.

I had season tickets when I was a teen from around 90-94, went to uni and didnt have one in first year but got one again for the next few seasons despite living in sheffield. kept it when I moved back here till about 2001 when we were SO dire under walter smith all the joy in it had been killed. havent renewed since then and dont go as much, sunday will only be the second game I've been to this season.

Well, it's not easy - but yeah. Total capacity is a little more than 80,000 and there's always >70,000 attending. Last 2 matches have been sold out and there'll be more this season.
Getting tickets for all other stands is possible for most of the games, but since i guess you'd wanna stand on the South stand... pretty much all tickets there are season tickets (all together they sell >50,000 season tickets each year ffs). You can get tix on the 'black market' around the stadium though. That, or you pm me.

Definitely not I'm not in Sheffield for the next couple of years at least

It does, indeed. Very much so. It's nice to see that finally some people abroad seem to notice that the german league is worth keeping an eye on. In my opinion, it doesn't have to hide behind the other big leagues and never had. I like the Premier League a lot but at the same time I love that football is managed differently here.
