Rose is hitting the studio again really soon to work on her 2nd record, and this song is set to be the first single. Its great. She sounds so much like a female Moz its almost uncanny.

Hey Ben, have you still got those b-sides/rarities from a few months back? I lost them when my computer melted ? Also does anyone have a turtle called Life Is Great she recorded with The Young Playthings a few years ago? It's brilliant, like a halfway point between The Pipettes and her solo stuff

Turtled.
Its everything I have thats not on the record. There are no repeat tracks, some live sessions, but there are alternate takes/demos and shit like that, so there are 2-3 versions of some songs, but they're all different (i.e. I Know I'll Never has 3 very distinct versions). The folder "Non-album tracks" are all b-sides from her singles/EPs + a few one offs from compilations. The Bedroom Demos was a free EP when you bought her CD from Rough Trade, but I added her old Myspace demos to it (which a lot of the Bedroom Demos are from) that weren't on the EP so my version is expanded by like 3-4 tracks. Its all tagged and shit as its directly from my main folder.
I could not find that Young Playthings track, but Ill have a looksie on my UK iTunes acct and if I can grab it there, Ill do so as I need it myself.

That's really awesome man, cheers. I didn't have much luck with itunes myself, but I'll keep an eye out of it. It's a b-side on a single called Yr So Fit For Me if I remember rightly edit: Also, have you heard latest Mark Ronson album (don't blame you if you haven't )? But she sings on three tracks on there and they're all pretty swell

Amazing, I listened the arse off this song a few summers back, great to hear it again. Total don She was on the panel on Steve Lamacq's show on 6music reviewing the first half of the year last Thursday, she gave Darwin Deez in particular a proper slagging off, both professionally and personally She comes across as a reet don herself tbh. Are we still saying don?

I ended up just getting the track on Amazon. I didnt even realize I had a promo code for $5 in free downloads for a movie purchase I made a few months ago. It expires this Friday (the code) so it was good timing. It was the only place I could find it.

Haha, her U & I Ep is genuinely very good aye. It's all I've heard though, would happily have a butchers at any other stuff It's funny to think that second Pipettes lineup actually had three really good songwriters in it and no-one really had a clue, they could have gone on to dominate the world!

The Pipettes are dead to me, that Spaceman shit was the last straw, and isn't there only 2 of them now or something? I'm intrigued by this Christmas single now though, I've not heard the original so possibly I won't be as offended by it's desecration
There's some pretty nice tunes in with that Gwenno stuff by the way, cheers for that mate

That's her sister You know what, i've grown to love that second record. No, really! It's pure pop, notthing like the debut, and the space one IS rubbish, but there's so many great melodies within. Weirdly though, the best track from the period was tossed away as a b-side, Over Heels, which in a fair world would be No.1 for 6 months. I'll up that, and I'm Gonna Be Your Dream. Though the mp3 of that is live, so pretty rough. Much better than the christmas version, mind

Over Heels surprised me, that's the kind of sound I was dreading them doing but it's actually really decent, sounds a bit like if that Gwenno EP was done in a big shiny studio, cheers for that. I see it's a b-side and all, I'll definitely give the album a few spins in that case That live track had big potential too you're right, I'm, er, undecided on the Christmas version though sounds like the kind of thing you hear walking around Matalan

So theres a new version of Start/Stop/Synchro, that doesnt sound too different to me, but Rose is bigging it up and its getting radio play. Ive not done a side by side comparison.
I ripped it from the broadcast and put it in the thread in Turtle if ya want it.
