That's my favourite Eno by a huge margin, anything I've heard after that has been ok but disappointing compared to it.
These days I'm trying to listen to as much 201Xs records as possible, I'm not sure I'll be able to provide a list in a couple weeks though...

It only took me until 2020 to finally hear this. Damn I love it. As good as any hip hop record I've ever heard tbh

Black Grape - It's Great when you're straight.....yeah
Randomly remembered it. It's Ryder's best IMO. First 4 tracks in particular are bangers.

Just read Lias from Fat White Family recommending this somewhere:
Yamasuki – Le Monde Fabuleux Des Yamasuki (1971)
A mad Samurai screaming over nice Asian-Morriconesque accompanying music and a chorus of Japanese (?) children. A bit like Goat or the Go! Team but well 40 years before. What Daniele Luppi has been trying so hard to achieve but, fuck, better. Apparently the project of two French, with the unexpected twist being that one of them is the father of one of the guys in Daft Punk.

Barny that Yamasaki record is wonderful. I put it on late last night and was in love instantly. The go! Team meets goat thing is pretty spot on.

Pretty good innit? Also feels more varied than I initially expected, so I hope it doesn't wear down once the initial surprise has passed.

Muzz- Bad Feeling. Paul Banks, Interpol with The Walkmen's drummer and in demand Josh Kaufman. Soundd nothing at all like Interpol. You can defintiely hear quieter Walkmen in the drumming though. It's all rather nice soundcloud.com/user-434202633/muzz-bad-feeling

Haven't listened to this in years. This is members of Pere Ubu & the Dead Boys mid 70s band. As far as I know they never recorded in a studio (at least before re-unions and shit in recent years) and a live recording was pretty much all there was. Anyway, if you've not heard this song it's fucking incredible. Garage-rock, Stooges style. This song I've known since I was about 11 as Guns n Roses did a version on their Spaghetti Incident record The Dead Boys went on to record the song properly but it lacks the energy of this recording. I'm gonna sit here, close my eyes and listen to this on repeat for 10 times now.

15 yrs old yesterday and sounding better than ever.
And because they both covered the title track, Scott Walker. Lots of Scott Walker.

I've just learned Iron Lion Zion was posthumously released taking an old Marley recording and building that big incredible song from it. A bit like Real Love, which is another hell of a song tbh.
