"You're a triple world champion. You're the man. You are a triple world champion," says Red Bull team boss Christian Horner over the radio as Sebastian Vettel punches the air.

I should probably wait an hour or so before I start spouting conspiracy theories about Hulkenberg's drive through penalty and its ability to lift Alonso/Ferrari into a potential championship winning position, especially when you consider that the safety car miraculously came out just after Alonso's radio call about the on track debris (although it should perhaps have been cleared earlier), but I won't. It was clear that he just lost control of the car on a slippery track and it seems a bit of a harsh punishment.
Brilliant season, would have loved to have seen Perez take the win in Malaysia and Hulkenberg today but it's been the closest in years. Delighted for Seb, roll on Melbourne.

He is Aryan as fuck likes The Beatles and Monty Python and comes across as a genuinely decent fella. And then there's the virginity quote which phased whoever was interviewing him in 2008. Maybe not quite on the same level as Alonso, but he's got prodigious talent.

What about the completely obviated drive through penalty for Vettel after passing Kobayasi with the yellow flag? What about a possibly sanction for a car throwing objects to the track? Yeah, the Hulkenberg thing was silly, but believe me, if there was someone favoured yesterday, it wasn't Alonso. But yeah, amazing season, probably the most fun I've had with F1 in ages.

no chance of the result being overturned, there's too much confusion over the situation re: lights vs flags.
