Just laid my first track down on Garage Band, sounds a bit ... meh. Vocals need reworking mind and then recorded through the voice memo thing on my iPhone for the whole lo-fi feel.

Scrapping the voice memo approach, as my work is spoken word the background noise is to evident so i'm sticking with Garage Band.
Karl's got a copy of the demo for my first track 'Trapped'. If JamesDCody can do anything with it tell him to work away, he has 100% creative freedom.

amazing!!! How do you record songs? anyway, ive got 5 songs or so done(ish) and ill ask a mate to help me record them when he gets back here in christmas time. Hopefully that is. Ill ask for his help anyway, with a microhpone and setting up things. Right now I haven't even got the thin E string. any "essentials" out yet? will pick up the records in the weekend or so, already got your mahoney but all the forum bullshit came in the way to actually listen to it!  rock on A mic and Adobe Audition should be enought, man. What instruments will you be using? Just guitar? Really looking forward to hearing something of your tbh, Findus. |

Just wanted to let all you Yellow Peril Records fans know that tonight I'll be starting work on the song I want to release for Christmas. I had considered writing an original song but instead I'm going to be coverint 'Last Christmas' by Wham. I'll be playing ukulele and harmonica and hopefully adding in some nice vocal harmonies. I've also spoke to jigger (my mate and former forum member who hardly ever posted) about doing a duet on the song but he doesn't seem too keen.
But yeah, work will start tonight and I hope to have it finished in time for release the week before Christmas.

Nice one, I just wrote my song, an original called 'Santa For Hire'. It's a re-write of one of my classic songs & as usual is dark & twisted.
Who's up for this then? Think Kevin is doing his own EP, if we can get 4 of us we'll have an EP's worth.
JamesDCody wrote lyrics for a weird dance track about doing his christmas shopping at bluewater today so hopefully he'll get around to recording that before christmas.
Brad? Chuz? Anyone who wants to write an original or do a cover it's all good.
