Here it is folks, here it is. Last week was disappointing but so, so close on pretty much every tip so it can only be considered a failure in purely financial terms.
Bet of the Weekend
Blackburn to beat West Brom @ 13/10
After a promising start West Brom are now sliding down the table, last week's win against Blackpool will provide only temporary respite. West Brom have won just two away games all season (admittedly one was against Arsenal but the other was a flattering win against an out of sorts, injury hit and 10 man Everton.. and that was two months ago)
They concede on average two goals a game away from home hich means even Blackburn's less than stellar attack can find the net. Furthermore they lost 3-1 to Blackburn at home just three weeks or so ago so it's strange to see such gernerous odds for Blackburn.
The more i think about it the more i think that this isn't just the bet of the weekend but one of the bets of the season.
Next Best[/u]
Manchester City to beat Villa @ 13/10
City are starting to purr like a fine tuned machine and with Mancini now playing Johnson and Silva back to full fitness the City attack will have far too much for the Villa defence.
At the other end iCity have conceded 7 goals in three games, none of them to top level sides, but this game will probably see the return of Mancini's 'ideals' and they can contain Ashley Young and Darren Bent with some comfort.
Others[/u]
Everton & Arsenal to beat Wigan andWest Ham @ 1/2 and 2/9
If Scott Parker is still out then this should be akin to buying money.
Newcastle to beat Spurs @ 5/2
Tbh i give up on both the north east teams as i can't work them out but this looks a reasonable bet.
Spurs away record isn't 'all that and Colocini, Nolan and Barton should be a reasonable match for modric, vdv and bale.
Not one to go massive on obviously.
Sunder;and to beat Blackpool @ 2/1
Was going to leave this one alone but Sunderland's singing of fuller (i player i like and a better footballer than Bent) is a good one and also the last time i checked they were 6/4 so this added value is quite attractive.
Also, although Blackpool beat them at the SofL, Sunderland absolutely hammered them and will want to make amends, also last week's disapoointment needs amending as well.
With all that amending and extra value it's worht a bit.
Mind you i've gien up on Sunderland and Blackpool so will probably leave it alone.
Liverpool to beat Wolves @ 11/8
They're awful but wolves aren't much better and this seems, for once, a fair price for the crumbling anfield side.
That'll do for now. Might look further down but not yet.
Good luck everyone.
