Another excellent tip at the weekend. I hope you were all on, that's what I'm here for - To disseminate my considerable knowledge for the financial benefit of my soapbox brothers.
It's a tricky set of fixtures and no mistake with no manner of favourites looking overpriced. United at 1/3, for example, appeals less than a night out with matthieeueueu, but can one confidently lay them when they have been so efficent in grinding out results at home?
Probably not.
Enough pontificating and on with the money makers.
Bet of the Midweek[/u]
Blackburn to beat Spurs @ 23/10
Spurs have a reasonably poor away record (just 4 wins which is the same as the barcodes and less than Blackpool) and with their defensive crisis and less than successful transfer window a sense of foreboding could grip the North TCOTUers.
Blackburn could see the return of Nelson and Grella which will be a huge boost, plus the additions they acquired.
Blckburn's home losses have come against Chelsea, Arsenal and less understandably, Stoke. The Stoke game is misleading as they were the better team by all accounts and this injury and suspension hit Spurs side is not on the same level as the TCOTU rivals.
At odds of over 2/1 Blackburn MUST be backed!
Next Best[/u]
Everton to beat Arsenal @ 15/2
No apologies for tipping them again as this is an insane price. Arsenal played just two days ago, admittedly it wasn't their first xi but there will be a lot who played on Sunday playing tonight.
And with the loss of key man Nasri and another Centre Back now could be the right time to play them.
Everton have already won at City and got creditable draws at Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool, after taking the lead in two out of those three games.
They also thoroughly outplayed Chelsea at the weekend.
Fellaini is a man bang on form at the minute and should be able to dominate midfeld, allowing the creativity of Arteta and Bilyaletdinov to flourish.
Everton should not be this price against any team in the world imo and again MUST be backed. Even if it's just £2.. you get £17 back.... buy a case of stella and your friday night is sorted!
Others to consider[/u]
Lay Man United @ 1/3
DEspite my preamble I can't resist this bet. It's getting to the stage where writing this might be enough to condemn you to the loony bin given United's position at the top of the league and stillin both the Fa Cup and CL BUT they really HAVEN'T played well for the most of the season and were ONCE agaon indebted to the ref last weekend.
Villa are now a stronger force than they were earlier in the season. Ashley Young's return being the obvious reason for this. Darren Bent may have been overpriced but he is certainly a dramatic improvement on what they had before and his pace can cause Vidic problems, especially if Rio is still out.
REo Coker and Cuellar's returns have also been instrumental in Villa's rise up the table.
Raphael's continued absence will mean a makeshift right back and this is something Villa can exploit.
the more I think about it the more this bet appeals.. in fact the 9/1 for a Villa win is looking tempting.
£2 double with Everton? Depending on the prices it could return something around £170!
Fulham to beat Newcastle @ 11/10
Fulham have stepped up a gear in recent weeks and, again, it seems like it's down to returning players like Andy Johnson, Dempsey and erm someone else.
They convincing victory at the weekend was no doubt helped by Tottenham's folly but was nevertheless incredibly comfortable, they had previously been unlucky to come away from Anfield with nothing.
Newcastle would have been without Carroll anyway but his loss coauld have a negative impact.
Newcastle's strength is undoubtedly their midfield but live wire Danny Murphy and the skilful but also industrious Dempsey with bargain buy Sidwell can win the midfield battle.
At the back Hangeland, Hughes and Pantsil should have enough to deal with Newcastle's attacking threat.
This is another STRONG fancy tbh. the two best bets are probably just because they represent the best value.
Blackpool to beat West Ham @ 7/5
Blackpool look to be underrated again imo. West Ham just aren't as good as some people like to think (mainly the cockernee press but seemingly the bookies).
Despite their first half against Birmingham their second half capitulation is a truer reflection of their ability tbh, especially as I believe Birmingham to be the second worst team in the league behind Wigan.
Blackpool have also had the better transfer window in keeping Adam and buying Reid and Beattie.
Blackpool will probably concede as they always do, but they could have enough firepower to ILLUMINATE the game ahahahha.*
Good luck everyone!
