That layered guitar solo is really something new (for them anyway); I love it.

If you're going to rip something off, make sure it blows people away. That doesn't. Knowing how they struggled to make that into a b-side for Heathen Chemistry didn't inspire me much, neither did the clip and unfortunately the full thing doesn't either. It's like they made a song out of the worst bits of Instant Karma and All You Need Is Love.
Bring The Light and Four Letter Word are miles better. Miles.

I've waited 10 years to hear this song. 10 LONG YEARS. Fucking hell. Look, it's an average song that's probably the worst on the album, judging by the clips (although Wind Up Dream might run it close). If this is the worst song on the album, it's should be a pretty good album. That'll do me.

I wasn't thinking of waiting 10 years for a classic, but after being bandied about for that long and then finally brought out of what must be some dusty vaults, I was hoping it would have had a bit more to it. Noel was saying in 2002 that it was going to be a b-side, and Beady Eye have made it the first proper single? With radio play and everything? Mad.
Here, listen to a load of Mexican kids singing Whatever in a new Coke advert.

As for the song, I really like it. Blown away by it? No, but it's really good. There's a ton of music that doesn't "blow me away" but that I think is fucking good. Liam sounds good on this, it's got a nice melody and it's catchy. Can't believe Noel though She Is Love was better than this. Cock.

and noel has such a glowing track record of making sure the best tracks are the ones that make it on an album.

it's not mindblowing but i like it, good chorus. Could have been a good Oasis album track. If the rest's like that and Four Letter Word i'll be happy.
