Does anyone have that album (single?) he did with Weller that they can turtle? I've always been curious to hear that.

Been absolutely loving this the past few days. My first thought was it sounds like a Female Al Green then I looked into details on the LP & saw she had Green's backing band Also was bugging me trying to figure out who'd sampled 'I can't stand the rain' then found it it was Missy Elliott. Every single track is a winner.

Join the soul-buzz soapbox.
Am currently working my way through the complete Motown singles 1969 boxset. Edwin Star Twenty Five Miles, it gets no bigger than that. Kevin ruined a bunch of pikey Millwall fans night out by playing that at his club night, the dancefloor was rocking and when I say rocking I mean I was having it on my own like a cunt.

Kevin ruined a bunch of pikey Millwall fans night out by playing that at his club night, the dancefloor was rocking and when I say rocking I mean I was having it on my own like a cunt. Such a powerful night, I remember some pikey cunt kept coming up to me all night saying he had his 'banging house vinyls' under the desk and he should put them on, going 'you've had your bands on, everyone's fucked off now, let me put my banging house tunes on and liven this place up', as I said no and whacked on some Reet-Petit and Karl Mahoney danced like a maniac on his own chased around by Helen the mighty Swede ;D

I know there hasn't been a lot of love for Whats Going On in thread, but still think its an absolute masterpiece, I suppose just as much a jazz album as it is a soul one, but brilliant in its construction, arrangements and scope, the funk brothers let loose and at their cerebral best. And all that before taking into account Marvins voice and words on top!
Anywhere, an excuse to post this clip:
A very rare clip of the funk brothers actually in action and I think the only video footage of the late great James Jamerson on the bass.
If you don't like this, you have no soul anywhere inside you

Don't get me wrong, I like it a lot (especially 'Inner City Blues'). It's just that I'm more into his mid/late '60s work.
Here's the John Terry Weller track by the way:
Beautiful piece...

The last year of his career. He joined a certain club because Ajax did not want to renew his contract. He did it only to show Ajax he was still the best. And he was the main reason the cunts won the double though, what a fucking man. Their first championship in like 10 years that was. And for us it meant the breakthrough of another striker you might or might not know, Marco van Basten.

Yeah, that name sounds familiar.
Don't know if you're refering to that but Cruyff played for a while in a little team of my city, he earned half of the benefits of the tickets

Haha yeah he played for Levante before joining Ajax*. Doesn't Vicente also come from Levante? The last year of his career he played for the arch rival, Feyenoord.
*His return to Ajax
