I honestly think it was Noel saying that he tossed off 2 "shitty" b-sides in 10 minutes just to fill the single that doomed I Got The Fever/My Sister Lover from the start. They had no chance after that. Same as PYMWYMI and ICSAL on SOTSOG, which he completely dismissed before the album was even out FFS. Got a soft spot for them, also Really though, the only tracks i really can't stand are Magic Pie and The Quiet Ones. I'd even take Maxwell's Silver Hammer over them two

weirdly, be here now is probably the oasis album i listen to the most. because i only really listen to oasis when i'm walking, and be here now is a MONSTER album to walk to Yeah, the same but with driving. That and the fact that I've played to death the first couple, and the rest of them had their good amount of rotation when they came out.

My top 5 most underrated Oasis tunes Gas Panic! My Big Mouth Waiting for the Rapture To Be Where There's Life Where Did It All Go Wrong? just noticed this too pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/5930-the-masterplan/ 3.7/10 and it also mentions a song called 'Alcohol & Cigarettes'

Are any of them really underated though, Andy? They're mostly loved on here, aren't they?
I don't get the level of hate that The Nature Of Reality gets. Think its mint myself

Think its mint myself I thought we were talking in general terms. This being an ex-Oasis forum there's basically an argument than none of their songs are underrated.

listen up totally isn't underrated. you may as well say slide away is underrated because it was never a single and most non-oasis fans probably won't have heard it.

I don't get the level of hate that The Nature Of Reality gets. Think its mint myself Yeah, I like it, too Didn't when I first heard DOYS but listened to the album again the other night and really enjoyed it. I really love DOYS. Not a single track I don't enjoy. It's tied with SOTSOG as my favourite post-BHN album.

Really though, the only tracks i really can't stand are Magic Pie and The Quiet Ones. I'd even take Maxwell's Silver Hammer over them two Magic Pie's alreet I think, like Girl In The Dirty Shirt it's spoiled but a comically lazy chorus though (and the fact that it's called Magic fucking Pie), but that pickslide is badass. I agree about The Quiet Ones though it's absolutely putrid , that and Those Swollen Hand Blues are the only two I don't bother with. On the subject of ICSAL, the version from Letterman is absolutely brutal, Liam at his raspy peak at the start of the SOTSOG tour And at how quickly this thread's going, everyone's clearly still madferit Oh and I Believe In All is mega little La's-alike. Liam's gift for melody really shines when he keeps it simple.

If you had told me two years ago that the soapbox forum would have an oasis thread in the main music section and AN ENTIRE SECTION devoted to something called 'Beady eye', I'd have tested my coffee for hard drugs.
The correct answer is (it's good) to be free.

Being a fatty, I don't think you beat belting out "YOU SEE ME I'VE GOT MY MAGIC PIE" from the bottom of your lungs.

I believe Don't Go Away doesn't get as many shouts as it should.
Liam roARs it on the SNL performance.

It's pure throwaway b-side That video is great Boy With The Blues should've been on DBTT, though IMO. Ahead of A Bell Will Cocking Ring, or that Andy Bell one towards the end

'Where did it all go wrong' - the Jools holland live version is beautiful.
'My big mouth' - huge huge tune. Would be in my Oasis top 10 easy.
'cloudburst' - should have been included on 'The Masterplan'

A lot of my hatred for Magic Pie comes from the fact that it replaced Stay Young on BHN. I mean, WTF? REALLY? Its about 4 minutes too long too
